Once a humble 1960s Routemaster, this vintage double decker bus has been revamped to create a cool and comfortable place for you to dine, serving a delightful array of decadent teatime treats with a handful of Slingsby’s Gin-infused delights too. As you make your way around London on a carefree tour you can tuck into a range of sweet and savoury excellence to accompany all of the things you’ll see on the way, displayed on tiered stands to make for a wondrously retro tea experience.
Enjoy a choice of savoury treats, sandwiches and French pastries and three Slingsby Gin cocktails each as well, and you’ve got a delightful afternoon tea you won’t find anywhere else.

What happens on the day?
You will board the bus from Victoria coach station and embark on your pre-booked tour of the city. The tour should last around 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the traffic. You will dine on sweet and savoury goodies and scones. On the drinks side of things, you’ll each enjoy three Slingsby Gin cocktails. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian afternoon teas are also available.
This is the perfect way to experience London, touring the city whilst enjoying a quintessentially British treat. The original 1960s route master bus has been renovated to provide a stylish and comfortable place to dine.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 5 (under 18s need to be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Due to the design of the Routemaster Bus it has not been possible to make the entrance wheelchair accessible. A folded wheelchair can be stored on the bus. Please mention any access requirements when booking
- Brigit's Afternoon Tea are able to cater for vegetarians, pescatarians, gluten free (but not coeliac as traces of gluten may be found), vegans, halal. They are unable to cater for Nut Free, Combination of Dairy & Gluten free, Combination of Vegan & Gluten Free or Coeliacs
- Any allergies must be sent by email and confirmed by management at Bus@b-bakery.com and must not be written in special requests
- Guide Dogs are allowed - please mention when booking
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The tour runs every Saturday at 17.30. Exclusions may apply, all bookings are subject to availability.
Your voucher entitles you to book standard seats on the upper or lower deck.
We recommend you book four to six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Great food, Gin and service
Would not necessarily have bought this for myself but it was a gift and my goodness did we enjoy it! Covid secure and very organised in embarking and disembarking, we relaxed from the moment we sat down to the awaiting afternoon tea and first gin of the trip. Warm savoury muffins and scones delivered during the tour, and the food already waiting was fresh and delicious. Great music soundtrack and informative but not intrusive tour. Would definitely recommend!

Fab Tour
I was kindly gifted the afternoon tea gin tour as a birthday present! We had no idea what to expect, but it was fab! We had 3x gins, a mixture of sandwiches/rolls with fillings and cakes. All were delicious! The tour of London was different to the usual bus tours! We had a fantastic day and would highly recommend to everyone!

Perfect Christmas treat
I received the Christmas lights tour / afternoon tea as a gift. What a great gift it was. The tour was lovely. The bus was done up really pretty and festive with lights. The service was great from the two members of staff. They refilled our drinks without us having to ask and were very friendly. The afternoon tea was very tasty and with really good choice and the cracker was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend

A great day out with friends
Friendly staff, tour was good showing sites, bus presented very prettily and good misic played. The food was good with a G&T ready when we arrived and two further gin cocktails whilst on the tour. Would thoroughly recommend.

What’s not to like.......
Really good hour and half, zooming around London Village munching on cakes, sandwiches and scones whilst drinking Gin..........what’s not to like ? Staff were really friendly and funny, and the music played on the bus was spot on. Get it booked !

Gin - all the way
Exciting time on an old London Routemaster bus - well catered for, ample afternoon tea and gin and also kir Royale - two lovely, attentive girls and all expertly driven all around London - route slight deviation due to various protests in the city but nevertheless 'great fun' a lovely present which we both enjoyed !!

Gin bus afternoon tea tour
Fantastic afternoon tea tour on an old London routemaster bus. The gin was lovely and the sandwiches and cakes amazing. The staff on the bus were lovely and helpful, and I would highly recommend this trip and take in the sights of our beautiful capital city.

Great Food!!
We used an offer which got us the VIP seats for normal price and it was brilliant to be slightly separate from the others with a great view. However, the best bit was the food, totally amazing and if we go back to London we will be going to the Covent Garden bakery for some more! The gin “cocktails” could be more varied but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The staff were great but I recommend a different way of getting tips as we don’t carry cash very often and I would definitely have tipped.

Great birthday pressie 🚌🥂
Took my friend for her 25th birthday. Was so much fun! Food was lovely, gin cocktails where yummy and the staff were really lovely - Lea was really sweet and funny. Would defo recommend. Had few problems booking the date but once emailed our issue was resolved. The info on virgin experience voucher did not match what BBakery website was telling us. All got sorted in the end though.

Gintastic
An absolutely fantastic experience. We went for my friends 50th birthday treat. Food was amazing and the gin cocktails were full sized and scrummy. Only disappointment was we thought we would get tea aswell as the cocktails but it wasn’t enough to spoil the experience. It was lovely driving through London seeing the sights whilst sipping our cocktails and munching the delicious food. The scones were even warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will be recommending to everyone.

Great experience
The whole journey was a really enjoyable experience. They had taken into consideration our dietary requirements and the food was delicious. We went on the gin tour, they gave 3 different cocktails and a range of delicious cakes. Staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend

A great experience
We have both done open top bus ride and afternoon tea in London on many occasions, but to do it combined was excellent, food was fabulous and the 3 gin drinks were great too and we even received a lovely b bakery coffee mug at the end. I will be recommending this to everyone, wether it's just a day out or a celebration it's a wonderful thing to do. We are now going to do it again with our mums.

Vintage Bus Tour
We were treated to three large gin mixers which were generous on the gin (not complaining!). To accompany them, was a wide variety of sandwiches and cakes. Personally, I’d like to see a few more sandwiches and few less cakes but they were still tasty. The tour itself took in most of the sights of the West End but it would have been nice to go over the Thames or seen St Paul’s. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

BUS TOUR
The food was well presented and tasty, the small finger sandwiches were a bit dry. The tour was good but in parts the recording explaining the places was inaudible perhaps small earphones may help. The bus only drove to the side of the Palace and therefore we didn't see it at all. The pictures online show the eye and other places that we didn't see so this was a little disappointing.....

Gin gin !!
A very pleasant hour and a half on the B Bakery vintage bus tour with gin afternoon tea. The food was good with a nice selection. The gin was very good. The staff were attentive and fun. All in all a great experience but could do with seeing more London sights. Would recommend if you're a gin lover!!

Fab experience!
Delicious food, delicious cocktails & great service! Loved the experience! Only negative was we couldn't book seats that were included in our voucher price as none available at time of booking, so paid an extra £55 to sit VIP and when we turned up there was a whole deck empty and 2 extra booths free on the top deck. Feel we were conned out of extra money we didn't need to pay!

Very disappointing
Every aspect of this tour was disappointing, from the overly complicated booking procedure, to the actual tour itself, it was touted as a gin trip, but the strongest beverage offered was tea, there was little point choosing menu choices as the sandwiches and cakes were already on the tables and my choice of a pescatarian option was clearly too difficult as my partner was given a beef sandwich Certainly won’t recommend this trip

Shame about drunken passengers
The idea is lovely. Afternoon tea and gin while travelling around central London on a vintage bus. Sadly our trip was spoiled by 4 foul mouthed drunken women who shouted sang and swore their way through out the trip. The really annoying thing is that the staff made no attempt to deal with it. Other passengers were really annoyed too but we all knew that these women were trying to provoke a reaction. Really disappointing
