Situated between the New Forest National Park and the southern coastline, the South Lawn Hotel is surrounded by acres of picturesque gardens and surrounding countryside. Taking a seat inside the dog friendly restaurant or outside on the Terrace, you’ll be served a selection of sandwiches and cakes to sink your teeth into, with scones with clotted cream and jam for extra sweetness and a pot of tea or coffee to wash it all down with.
You’re well-placed to explore the local area, from the nearby beaches of Milford on Sea, Highcliffe and Christchurch to the National park with its abundant greenery and quaint villages. How you spend your day is up to you, but the afternoon refreshment’s sorted.

“An epic day out ”
Had a great time at Grizedale Forest GoApe. There is a good mix of activities in the treetop challenge including some epic zip wires. Definitely was pushed out of my comfort zone but always felt safe. The kids in our group loved it. There can be a bit of waiting around between the platforms. Our experience lasted well over three hours from start to finish so allow plenty of time. A very good value experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at the South Lawn Hotel in Lymington you’ll be shown through to your pre-booked table by the friendly staff before taking your seats in the hotel’s dog friendly restaurant or on the terrace if the weather allows.
As you take in the atmosphere and surroundings you’ll be served a selection of sandwiches and cakes, scones, clotted cream and jam, and a pot of tea or coffee.

Availability
The afternoon tea can be booked seven days a week. Date exclusions such as special or major events will apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for your tea.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
