Warm yourself by a roaring fire in winter, or head onto the sun terrace for magnificent views of the hotel’s gardens in warmer months. A lovely treat from our son. The venue was amazing, the staff professional and the afternoon tea outstanding. There was far too much and the waiter was very accommodating in letting us have a box to take the left overs home. We'll definitely be back, perhaps for lunch.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Bovey Castle, you’ll be greeted and shown to your pre-booked table where your afternoon tea will be served. Afternoon tea is available in the Great Western or head out onto the South Terrace if the weather is good and you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the entire estate while you dine.
Your traditional afternoon tea for two includes:
- Homemade warm scones with clotted cream and jam
- Delicate finger sandwiches (contents vary according to season)
- Homemade pastries and cakes
- Selection of fine teas

Availability
Available Monday to Friday throughout the year. Exclusions including Bank Holidays will apply.
A maximum of 2 vouchers can be used for a booking at one time.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.
Afternoon Tea is served between 13.00 and 16.00 Monday to Friday. Please allow 1 hour 30 minutes.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Lovely surroundings set in Dartmoor in an victorian type castle, staff were very polite and helpful, afternoon tea was freshly made and excellent to taste and try different sweets on the tray. A very relaxing place.
