Adult and Child Tank Driving Experience
About this experience
Father and son, mother and daughter, a mixture of the two or two friends working as a team: this is a bonding experience the likes of which you’ve never seen before, as one (the grown-up) gets into the driving seat while the other (the smaller one) mans the turret on this Adult and Child Tank Driving Experience.
Your instructor will demonstrate with a lap around the track, so you can get familiar with the controls required. You’ll have two laps to prove your tank driving skills, one with the hatches open, and the other with the hatches closed and nothing but the limited view of a periscope to guide your way.
Along the track you’ll pull over to let your gunner prove their worth, loading the turret, taking aim, and firing a 40mm paintball on the special target range. Entry to the on-site museum is included in your ticket, a great way to round off your experience.

“Fantastic day out ”
Was given a father/son tank driving experience as a birthday gift. We had a fantastic day. From start to finish we were beaming
What's Included
- Two laps driving an FV432 APC tank (adult)
- Load, aim and fire a tank turret with a 40mm paintball at the special target range (child)
- An expert instructor to guide you through the course
- Free entry for two into the onsite military museum and collection
- Experience gift pack including personalised voucher and message card
What happens on the day?
After arriving at least 15 minutes before your experience is scheduled to start, you’ll both check in at the tank driving reception before being equipped with a tank suit and Kevlar helmet.
Once you’re beside your vehicle your tank driving instructor will give you a detailed safety briefing before securing you in your seat and taking you around the track to familiarise you with the course. After that you’ll move into the driver’s position to take the tank around for two laps, one with the hatches open, one looking through the periscope, while your miniature crew-mate will man the guns. When you pull up at the target range it’s time for your gunner to shine, working the gun to fire at the distant target.
At the end of the drive you’ll both have free entry into the onsite military collection and museum.

“Awesome ”
What a great experience. The staff were so nice and helpful. The bathrooms were cleaned and cleaned regularly. The tank museum was pretty neat. It wasn't long but it had some amazing things in it. Even my 6 yr old enjoyed the museum and patiently waited for her brothers and dad during their tank time. Highly recommend this experience. They also have cameras on the track and take pictures during your time in the tank.
