Abseil from the ArcelorMittal Orbit
About this experience
Look out across London from the UK’s tallest sculpture, then take a leap (or controlled drop) off it on the UK’s highest freefall abseil with this ArcelorMittal Orbit Abseil for one.
You’ll travel in the lift to the very top of the structure to get a hawk’s eye view of the park below and to look out over the rest of London. From here you’ll be able to pick out The Shard, BT Tower, The Gherkin, Big Ben, Canary Wharf and the O2 Arena - you might even be able to spot some new additions to the skyline like the 'Walkie Talkie' and the 'Cheesegrater'. Then, it’ll be time to take the plunge, heading out to the open-air platform for the descent of your life.
The experienced Wire and Sky team will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you’re in the safest hands as you tip over the edge. The views are breathtaking and can stretch up to 20 miles on a good day, but no-one’ll blame you if you just want to focus on making your jaw-dropping way down!

“ArcelorMittal Orbit Abseil”
Excellent and most enjoyable experience I have had to date. Great views of London from the top, especially as it was a sunny and clear day. Would do it again.
What's Included
- Entry for one to the ArcelorMittal Orbit
- A heart-stopping abseiling descent from the ArcelorMittal Orbit abseil platform
- Abseil while taking in the sights including St Paul’s Cathedral, The O2 Arena, The Shard and more
- Experience gift pack including personalised voucher and message card
What happens on the day?
On arrival at the ArcelorMittal Orbit you’ll meet up with the Wire & Sky team before going through a safety brief, kitting up in your equipment and jumping in the lift to shoot up to the top of the sculpture.
You’ll have a bit of time to take in the sights before making your way out onto the airy abseiling platform, where the team will go through the final safety checks ahead of attaching you to the abseiling systems. You’ll be taught everything you need to know to abseil safely and in a controlled manner – so all you’ll need to do then is take the leap.

The experience was excellent. Venue good, staff friendly and professional and the equipment was clean and looked almost brand new.
“Amazing ”
I challenged myself to the Abseil from ArcelorMittal Orbit, it was very well organised and an experience I would go for again. Felt very safe and in control, I would never normally want to experience extremes again, but this one I would.
