Do you feel the need for speed? If so, this 60 Minute Top Gun Fighter Jet Simulator Experience is for you. Via the 320 degree 4K full wraparound visual screen, you'll feel completely immersed in all the action of virtually flying a F/A-18 Hornet.
Kitted out in a military flying suit and helmet, you'll be given a quick briefing from your personal instructor including how to fly aerobatics and air combat manoeuvres. Climbing into the ejector seat, prepare to launch from the virtual aircraft carrier learning the effects of each realistic control in the fully-enclosed cockpit.
Your mission is to shoot the enemy aircraft and perform a fighter pilot flyby before landing in one piece. Following a debrief, review your air combat results and receive a flight certificate to commemorate your experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival to the centre, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the team and provided with a military flying suit before choosing your call sign for the 60 minute session ahead. Beginning with a short briefing by your personal instructor, families yourself with the controls use to fly aerobatics and air combat manoeuvres. Then it’s time to climb into the ejector seat and take the controls in a realistic full size F/A-18 Hornet. Launching from the virtual aircraft carrier, manoeuvre into a climb before setting out on your mission to shoot the enemy. Before returning to base, you’ll perform a fighter pilot flyby. Debrief with your instructor, review your air combat results and receive a flight certificate.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 8 (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult)
- Minimum height: 4ft 8in (participants may struggle to see out of the window below this height)
- Access to the simulator requires some physical dexterity, the cockpit is real size and a bit of a squeeze. You should be able to lift both legs at least 1 to 2 feet off the floor without assistance
- Wheel chair access is restricted
- This experience is not suitable for anyone with photo sensitive epilepsy
- When turning up for your experience please inform the instructor if you suffer from motion sickness. During the session the simulator can be stopped at any time
- Participants are welcome to bring guests with them to wait in the reception area. Those in the reception area will not be able to see the experience.

Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please book and use your experience before the date shown.
The experience runs seven days a week throughout the year. Excluded dates may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow up to 1 hour and 30 minutes for the full experience, you will spend 60 minutes aboard the flight simulator.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
