Tucked away in the heart of the city, you and your guest can enjoy the finer things with a half bottle of Champagne waiting for you at the hotel and access to the gym and spa. Dinner will be a five-course tasting menu in the hotel’s Michelin-starred Angler Restaurant. Superb seasonal and local produce awaits, with seafood a speciality. Breakfast will be a taken in the South Place Chop House, with a generous £50 shared allowance.

We did the view of the Shard at night which was beautiful & staff very accommodating. Hotel was of an amazing spec and food was lovely, just very tiny small plates (as tasting menu). Service impeccable. Just to note, Shard is 3 stops from Hotel, but it’s no problem

What happens on the day?
Your ticket for two adults to The View from the Shard should be pre-booked so you can arrive and make your way to the attraction, shortening the time spent in queues.
The two of you can enjoy your entire experience at your leisure, queue and crowd free with no time restriction on your visit, although most people stay for up to an hour. You will be able to take the elevator up to floors 68 and 69 and if you’re feeling super adventurous you can go all the way to level 72 which offers you a view like no other. Level 72 is an open top viewing platform, so you’ll feel free as a bird at 800ft.
On arrival at the 5* South Place Hotel you’ll be greeted and shown to your pre-booked room for the night. Once settled, you can enjoy your time as you please, there’ll be a half bottle of Champagne waiting for you and you’ll have access to the gym and spa.
You can enjoy a five-course, seasonal tasting menu, served in the Michelin-starred, Angler Restaurant during the evening.
The following morning, you’ll have a £50 shared allowance towards breakfast in the South Place Chop House.

Availability
Entry to The View from The Shard can be booked Wednesday to Sunday at an allotted time.
To reduce queues and ensure the best possible visitor experience for everyone, admission to The View from The Shard will only be valid on the date and time stated on your ticket once a booking has been made with Virgin Experience Days Ltd.
Tickets for The View from The Shard are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Last entry varies depending on the time of year - please check for exact timings when booking. Bookings can be made between 24 hours and 4 months in advance, subject to availability, with a valid voucher.
The Voucher has a voucher number and a pin which needs to be quoted when booking. Your e-ticket, which will be sent as confirmation of your booking, will include the multi-digit order number to gain access into the attraction or The View from The Shard ticket.

Your one night break is available on Friday and Saturday nights only. Excluded dates may apply
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Your hotel stay will be for one night.
Check-in will be from 15.00 on the day of arrival and check out will be 11.00 on the morning of departure.
A standard visit to The View froim The Shard lasts approximately 1 hour, allowing ample time for you to relax and enjoy the city skyline at your leisure as there is no time restriction on your visit.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
