About this experience

Experience the thrill of flying with this Flight Simulator Experience aboard a fixed base Agusta Bell Helicopter. For 45 minutes, you’ll be truly immersed in the world of flight, from virtual take-off to hovering to landing.

Beginning at Shoreham with a safety briefing, you’ll take full control of the aircraft as your fully qualified 1st Officer instructor helps you gain experience of the controls and get an understanding of several flying manoeuvres, including hovering. Featuring 220-degree wrap around visuals, you’ll set off from Shoreham to Goodwood, you’ll make several stops, including the Goodwood Horse Racetrack, mastering the art of landing before reaching your final destination of Goodwood.

At the end of the 'flight', you’ll receive a commendation certificate to commemorate your time. All the flight-decks are from real aircrafts, with full realistic systems and controls offering a truly authentic experience.

What happens on the day?

On arrival at the centre, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the friendly staff.

You’ll kick things off with a pre-flight safety briefing, before heading into your Agusta Bell Helicopter to take to your pilot’s seat ready for your virtual flight. Whatever your skill level, you’ll be guided by a professional instructor through the controls for take-off, flight and landing, ensuring you get the most out of your experience.

Featuring 220-degree wrap around visuals, your journey will see you virtually travel from Shoreham to Goodwood, with stops including Goodwood Racecourse, to really get an understanding of the flight controls.

Participant guidelines

Minimum age: 12
Maximum number of spectators is four per participant
No previous flying experience required
Easy access from major motorways (M56, M53, M6), rail network and major airports (Manchester, Liverpool)
Ample parking and disabled space immediately outside premises
The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Availability

The experience is available Tuesday to Thursday throughout the year. Exclusions may apply.

We recommend you book at least two weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow 1 hour for the full experience.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
