30 minute Tiger Moth Trial Lesson
About this experience
Jump into a 1930s flying classic and experience the start of a WWII fighter pilot’s journey high above the English countryside with this 30 minute Tiger Moth Trial Lesson.
The de Havilland Tiger Moth was the ideal training aircraft for budding RAF pilots, forgiving in the early stages of flight while requiring skill and concentration to get the most out of the aircraft. As you’ll be sitting in an open cockpit you’ll feel the wind through your hair as you soar over the beautiful English countryside, enjoying the sights and sounds from the cockpit of your magnificent flying machine. You’ll be fully kitted out in a vintage WWII-style flying suit to help you get into the fighter pilot mindset.
An expert pilot will demonstrate and then guide you through similar manoeuvres used by WWII pilots, and you’ll even be able to take the controls yourself for a bit of hands-on flight time too.

“Tiger Moth Flight”
The mission went well. 70th birthday present from 2 sons. Great weather, and attentive staff. Not the first time at the controls of a light aircraft so it was the historical element which delighted me, as a Classic Car enthusiast. Father in Law, like many WWII pilots trained in these aircraft dated circa 1936.

“Such an amazing day!”
The staff were really friendly, I didn’t feel rushed or under pressure. It was really nice and laid back, had a briefing and learnt some history, had the choice of which plane I went up in, and where I went, and even had a chance to fly! Such a great day, would like to go back... this could be an expensive hobby!
“Great trip in the air!”
Thoroughly enjoyed my trip in a Tiger Moth not least because of the very hospitable and welcoming ground crew and pilot.
