Loved it!
Stonefield Castle gave us a really relaxing break. The room and bathroom were really clean and the bed large and super comfy. The staff were lovely - attentive and engaging. The views were beautiful. Food was good though a bit heavy on the salt, butter/cream in one occasion only. Otherwise, very tasty. My dog was well looked after 😊

Wonderful
Very high quality. Excellent food, with 2 complimentary glasses of Prosecco on the first night as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Spotless.

Lovely mini break
I had a mini break here with my dog Sidney. This is a lovely hotel with bags of character. Best bits - the very welcoming and genuinely dog friendly staff, the walks straight from the hotel especially around the island and good quality, freshly cooked food at breakfast and dinner. Biggest disappointment is that Bespoke hotels are currently offering similar (if not better) mini breaks for considerably less than the value of my voucher.

Rather tired hotel.
Staff are polite but poorly trained. The food is well presented but from a distinctly average menu. Rooms are clean.

Tired Property but Superb Dining
Beautiful secluded location, I think used by tourists travelling to and from Northern Ireland. Lovely friendly staff, 5 star dining including locally produced seafood comparable to any I've had on west coast of France. Plumbing noises were a hoot but whilst funny, they weren't appreciated in the middle of the night. Our room was comfortable with a lovely new bathroom. However, the studded partition walls between rooms offered next to no sound proofing and the gardens were massive oversell.

Great location, poor experience from Virgin
The hotel setting is amazing, both its views over Loch Fyne and the immediate area. Kintyre and Argyll have loads of character and fantastic scenery, superb coastline, ancient stone rings and cairns, Crinan Canal, etc, etc. The hotel itself has good food, nice service and they treat you well - they avoid being too snobby, which is my experience of similar places.

Never Again.
Overpriced. Poor quality. Room awful. Cold. Dripping tap. TV and remote not working. Furniture broken. Dirty toilet. Noisy. Room service with no cutlery. Snooker table can not be used due to ripped playing surface.
