Great day, lots of tea!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like Queens. All staff were very welcoming and the selection of sandwiches, scones and sweets were great! Perhaps my favourite part was the large variety of tea and Vivian, who looked after us for the duration for our stay. He was very knowledgable, courteous and kind - the perfect host! The ideal present, a special experience to enjoy with the best people in your life!

Amazing hotel and experience was so different.
Absolutely loved this Christmas present to my friend of an afternoon tea. Everything was perfect. Enough to eat and drink and the harpist was an added extra. Loved the clean well decorated hotel set for Christmas it was truly magical and we were so looked after. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely pre Christmas treat
Spent a lovely couple of hours with my daughter - we were lucky enough to have their Christmas afternoon tea instead of the botanical tea. The amount and quality of the food was excellent and they gave us a box each to take any left overs home, of which there were plenty. A good choice of teas plus a chance to upgrade to free flowing sparkling wine for an additional £15

The Best Afternoon Tea Experience
The Lanes Of London restaurant in the Marriott Hotel, Park Lane (not the Grosvenor House Marriott as we mistakening visited first!) is a little hidden gem. This Botanical Afternoon Tea for 2 from family was the best having had a few of these over the years at various London locations. The staff were courteous and service was impeccable. The choice of teas were superb and the selection of cakes and sandwiches a dream - thank you had to take some home! Thank you

Afternoon tea at the Marriot in Park Lane.
A lovely hotel in which to have afternoon tea. A good and varied selection of teas, with the option of coffee. Nicely presented food but as usual for our taste not enough sandwiches & too many cakes as there were also two scones each with jam & clotted cream. There were 10 cakes, some tiny, but very rich and we took some home as we were full due to the sugar rush. Couldn't fault the food at all, the cakes were a work of art esp. the flower pot carrot cakes. Very good & attentive staff.

Wonderful afternoon tea
My son purchased this experience for my daughter and I. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, the choice of tea was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. The highlight for me was the harpest which added to the ambiance and brought the whole experience to another level.

Very Unique Afternoon Tea
The botanical Wimbledon tennis themed afternoon tea was both delicious and very unique. So much attention to detail in the cakes which included a pistachio coconut tennis court cake and a handmade chocolate teacup filled with chocolate mousse and handmade iced strawberries. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the botanical teas selection and was very attentive and helpful throughout the afternoon even offering to take a photo of us and boxed up the cakes we couldn’t finish to take away with

Great food, great staff and a lovely occasion
This was a really good experience and I highly recommend it. I have been to several afternoon teas, but this was something quite different with its emphasis on 'botanical'. We started off with a discussion about a wide variety of teas, then set in to the sandwiches and cakes, leaving with a doggie bag. I would also recommend this for a present.

Wonderful service
This was a lovely afternoon tea, with wonderful attentive service. All the food and tea was delicious, and there was a wonderful harp being played. The staff went above and beyond to cater for my friend’s nut allergy. The menu was different from what was on the voucher experience information. It wasn’t quite a botanical theme with quirky flowerpots etc. However the menu we received was absolutely delicious. I think perhaps this is their new current menu. Still highly recommend.

Nice Sunday Afternoon
Great location off Hyde Park & Oxford Street. An amazing array of Jing Teas that made for a nice compliment to the finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. Would recommend asking for a window seat as we were tucked away inside a little, but it was still a nice spacious area to have a relaxing afternoon tea. Service was great and very efficient with a good understanding of the teas that were on offer.

Disappointing
Botanical tea replaced that day with a Fashion tea which was disappointing. Underwhelmed by the look of the restaurant. Thought it would be really smart as hotel 5* and tea £30 a head! Bread dry on sandwiches and fillings a bit novel. Scones good. Service excellent. Casual/smart dress code? Man next to us looked like he had just got out of bed - sweat pants, t-shirt, towelling slippers! If there is a dress code it should be enforced or it devalues the whole experience.

Nice
Gorgeously presented cakes. A real treat. However, sandwiches didn’t have slot of filling and were very dry. Maybe been stood for awhile. Staff very accommodating. Black currant and hibiscus was divine. Not the best afternoon tea I’ve experienced. Definitely not worth the money. And to add insult to injury a service charge was added of £8.50!!

Too sweet
Service good. Lovely venue, but book a window seat. An education in tea flavours, as you can try as many as you like. Scones were dry; sandwiches fresh but rather flavourless. Carrot cake excellent but under too much cream cheese; good shortbread, but chocolate soil is not great with rhubarb - do one or the other, not both; hibiscus cream was sickly but in a tasty chocolate cup. Verdict: improve the savouries. Good ,but botanical theme was OTT - who comes to eat dried rosebuds or pansies?

Underwhelming experience
I definitely had better experiences and more interesting afternoon teas. The place and the atmosphere were really nice, people nice and friendly but actual sandwiches and sweets weren’t impressive at all. I unfortunately ended up with pain and discomfort in my stomach...

Very average experience
Botanical tea was generous but the venue lacked style. I would have expected crisp white linen table cloths and tradition. What we got were finger sandwiches (not overly fresh), scones and cream, and fancy cakes (most in chocolate cases) served in a functional hotel restaurant room lacking ambiance. The different botanical teas were interesting and unlimited.

Very disappointing
I went for the botanical tea, at the Marriott Park Lane, with my daughter, who bought the voucher for me ,as a present. The staff were very good, and attentive, particularly our waiter Vivian. The explanation and choice of teas was interesting. That is all I can say that is positive about our experience. The food was poor, four small finger sandwiches, three made with white bread. inadequately filled, stale scones.cakes were ok. We were very disappointed ,at the standard of catering provided.
