Breathtaking time

The Hotel was fantastic situated in a quiet and breathtaking location with great views right at the top of a high long hill. All staff were really friendly and helpful making our stay very warming and welcoming. The room was very spacious with all amenities we could ask for. The hotel restaurant and bar were staffed well and the food was of excellent quality and portion size. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gloucestershire and would definitely stay there again myself.

Lovely treat away x

Had a lovely time from start to finish.Easy check in allowed us in earlier than time stated.Room was nice size, clean and had everything you need / expect like a kettle tea & coffees milk biscuits even had a iron & ironing board 😃 Ensuite was a bath&a overhead shower. Seperate entrance to accomodation and a free car park outside pub. Pub was full of character and looked amazing with views to the Abbey opposite. Lots of history regarding pub which was interesting 😊

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND LOCATION

WE EXPERIENCED EXCELLENT SERVICE DURING OUR STAY. THE RESTAURANT STAFF WERE PARTICULARLY GOOD AND GEORGIE WAS OUTSTANDING IN PRESENTING THE MENUS AND DISPLAYED A WONDERFUL MANNER AND THIS WAS FIRST CLASS. Excellent

We had a lovely break at this hotel. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and a few drinks afterwards. Perfect location next to the seafront with plenty of on street parking. The room was clean with everything we needed.

Overnight stay

The room was good, nice and warm and bed very comfortable. The bedrooms are in a separate building to the dining area but only a very short walk. We didn't see the area at its best as it was pouring with rain but the food, service and atmosphere in the dining area was excellent and well laid out with regards to Covid 19 regulations.

Great 2 Nights

This was a Christmas present ,we delayed taking it because of Covid-19. No problems with Virgin extending the date. It certainly was value for money and would not hesitate to use other "Virgin Experience Days" again.

Sunshine and sunsets

We arrived at the hotel and parked outside flight of steps up to entrance and check in at the bar. Staff cheerful and check in very smooth advised us that room was on 2 nd floor but there was a lift and that in the morning breakfast would be served in the bar area. The lift was small but adequate to convey us and 2 hold-all’s. Our room was situated to the side of the building but still had a view of the sea towards Bournemouth. Comfortable bed and shower over bath but all very clean.

Clean, clean, clean.

Bit nervous of going away due to COVID 19 pandemic but we had nothing to worry about the staff and hotel were following all safety guidelines which made us feel very comfortable. A member of staff was constantly cleaning hand rails, door knobs and the like, windows and doors were open in the communal areas. The hotel is a lovely old manor house as the name suggests and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely visit again. We found it very easy to book and use our voucher.

One of the loveliest, cosiest places ever!

From start to finish this establishment were friendly, kind and welcoming. The hotel was so clean which is something I was concerned about in the current circumstances. We had absolutely no issues and the food/breakfast was incredible. Lovely lovely staff and beautiful little hotel. Would love to go back one day!

Over night stay

We got this break as a Xmas present, when we got to the hotel, we were greeted by informative and friendly staff, the room we got was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. We had a few drinks in the bar along with some snacks, which we thought very reasonable prices. We took a stroll into Helensburgh, which was a great walk along the Clyde side. We booked a table for dinner that nite, when we got to the restaurant it was really busy, which for us is a good sign the food was fantastic.

We booked the broughton as we had pre-booked to visit Bletchley Park also through the virgin experiences site. The Broughton was an excellent base. Comfortable room, great breakfast and lovely evening meal. Credit also to really good and friendly staff.

Just what the doctor ordered...

Partner and I converted another (expired) experience to an overnight stay. We chose well. The welcome was friendly, with check-in seamless and speedy. Room more than adequate for a pub, then meal and service excellent. Breakfast next day met expectations. Thanks to all at the White Rabbit.

Brilliant night away

I read a few reviews of the hotel and they wasnt great but I just wanted a night away. The hotel is old, it's a hotel the dads army cast stayed in whilst filming back in the 70s The staff are very friendly the evening food and breakfast are 10/10, if you want a night away just for a break and not expecting the Ritz (as some seem to want on a cheap break) this is the place for you. I would definitely come here again

Ravensworth Arms

Booked this last minute and it did not let me down. Firstly the rooms are fantastic spacious with everything you need huge bed,iron,iron board and hairdryer which was great. The main pub was very traditional staff helpful,friendly and the food wow. Breakfast was superb. Overall would highly recommend its a little hidden gem.

Had a lovely stay...

Had a lovely stay at the Pen and Parchment in Stratford-upon-Avon. Staff were really welcoming and friendly, room was very comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the pub downstairs at all. Had a very enjoyable meal and drinks in the pub, which had a nice atmosphere. My husband and I said we would happily both stay again.
