Pleasant stay in the city
The hotel itself was very smart and high quality, staff were polite and helpful. Room was nice for what we needed, nice location right in the city so we walked to the restaurants after day in the countryside. Main negative was the directions and entrance to hotel car park down a narrow unkempt side street where you have to squeeze by parked cars to back of hotel seemed a bit dodgy.

Awesome time
Had for the majority a fantastic time. General atmosphere and service excellent. Food was absolutely beautiful in Marcos restaurant which is situated within the hotel itself. Only negative was that the bed was hard and very squeaky and so my husband and I did not sleep well. Room was clean and spacious and was a good temperature. Would recommend for every reason, other than the bed!

Visit to Grand hotel
Was a really nice experience, reception staff very helpful and breakfast lovely. Upgraded room to a king size room with extras, was very clean but in need of a revamp, carpets poorly fitted in rooms & around hotel, dingy ceiling & walls were there must of been a leak in our room. Room dark & dull, some bulbs out and colouring battleship grey. bathroom nice size but bath really small and shower trickled out.

What a waste of time and money
We had to transfer our voucher to a hotel voucher and then transfer to the grand hotel Leicester, and the we could not get the dates we wanted, we had to pay cash for the day we wanted as they did have room for cash but not the voucher, booked the second night with the voucher. Was really a con using the voucher. On arrival we were not felt to be welcome and the room was a mess, blood on the bed throw etc talking to reception and getting no joy we left not even staying losing our money.
