Great room and food

Great, food and room excellent.
We did an overnight stay with Dinner and Breakfast. We booked using our Virgin Experience voucher. Dinner, glasses of champagne and Breakfast. Before we arrived we confirmed our Dinner time and room booking. We had efficient replies to all our emails. On the day before we had email checks from hotel and made final confirmation. Our room was a large double on the second floor. It was extremely clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

Great stay.
The hotel, rooms, staff are amazing and the food in the restaurant was to die for. The only fly in the soup was, that once checking our bill, we were charged £150 over what we had spent. Once in reception it appeared that someone else in the hotel was giving our room number that evening and having a jolly time, nearly at our expense. As all you do is tell the staff your room number and don’t sign for the drinks etc. A lesson maybe for the management. To their credit it was rectified quickly.

Quality boutique hotel, the staff cannot do enough for you and notice the little things. From reception to bar to dinning room. Didn't see maid but room was excellent. The chef is superb his food delicious, tried some different dishes. Position in town is good too. Hope to return soon.

A truly excellent hotel with exceptional attention to detail. Dinner was equally fantastic in relaxed but sophisticated restaurant. I would highly recommend.

Nearly all fab but.........
Lovely hotel, great room, amazing food. Just such a shame our room was at the back close to the noisy road and early morning deliveries!

A bit of a disaster!
Whilst the hotel was quite comfortable we found it rather dull. The restaurant was packed with mainly locals which was a good sign. However we both had plaice on the bone as a main course, and following a bad night, due we thought to a very thick duvet, my wife did not feel well all the following day with diarrhoea and ended up the following night being sick in Poole and taken to the local hospital, where it was assumed she was suffering from dehydration and food poisoning, caused by the fish.

Nice night away
This getaway was a nice break. The hotel staff were excellent and helpful! The covid measures were good as well! The hotel was nice but I'm nothing amazing. In our room, the shower was right in front of the bed so if you went with a friend, it might get awkward. The food at the restaurant was really excellent though! Everything tasted wonderful so would highly recommend that! The decor was a bit strange with the fake tree in the middle but maybe that was there for covid distancing.
