A great one night stay.
From the moment my wife and I arrived at Dumbleton Hall we felt welcomed by the Receptionist and we were given all the information we required. The hotel is set in stunning grounds and we had a room on the second floor with a fantastic view. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely efficient and attentive. We shall definitely return. Unfortunately we may not see the beautiful Christmas decorations when we next visit.

Stunning location and amazing service!
Everything from check-in to check-out was absolutely fantastic. Staff were very helpful in attending to everything we needed. Clear instructions were provided. The hotel is stunning and the surrounding 19 acres of land is a delightful walk.

Dumbleton Hall Hotel
We had a lovely relaxing break. Food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, made better by the good weather. A most enjoyable birthday treat.

Very enjoyable family event
A small group of us took up the offer and we all had a super time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the dinner OK (though some of the dish combinations were a bit odd), breakfast excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful location, and ideal for touring around the Cotswolds. The hotel is very grand, but in need of a little tlc. Having said all of that, I would recommend a visit to anyone. We are planning to return at Christmas!

Just back from a lovely break away at Dumbleton Hall. Beautiful old country house in stunning grounds. The food was lovely and they were happy to cater for my fiance's dietary needs. We will be back 😊

Very enjoyable
Really enjoyable experience. Lovely hotel and surroundings. Would recommend to other experience users. Friendly staff. Only minus point was decor in room a bit tired but very clean. Lovely grounds and near to other Cotswold areas. All in all well worth the experience.

Great experience
Lovely traditional hotel in magnificent grounds. We were lucky enough to be there to see the bluebells. Courteous staff, comfortable room, great views and excellent food. hot salmon mousse, fresh rolls and butter, whole salmon with black butter and samphire , a trio of chocolate desserts and a crisp bottle of sauvignon blanc. Terrific!

Relaxing shot stay
Overall, very nice with just a couple of things that stopped me from giving it 5 stars. Pluses: very picturesque setting, quiet, almost tranquil. Not much to do though if you are after more action. Beautiful lake and the grounds. Good food and friendly staff. Minuses (well, for me personally): it was very hot to sleep due to a thick heavy duvet. Could hear toilet flushing next door very clearly as their bathroom was adjusent to our bedroom. Also rooms doors slam very loudly when shutting.

Dumbleton Hall Hotel
Beautiful hotel set in acres of well kept land. Our evening three course meal was excellent also breakfast the following morning. Good choices of food and hot breakfast cooked to order. Polite and helpful staff. Very clean room with comfortable bed. If i had any criticism it would be that the room is rather tired and could do with updating. But that is a small observation and overall I would definitely stay there again

Old World Charm
Large classic room with decent bed, lovely country views and a peaceful nights sleep. Great location for walkers. Nice well kept grounds with lake. Very interesting characterful building with loads of history if a bit tired and in need of some TLC. Plenty of choice at dinner and a hearty breakfast. All of the staff were pleasant and caring even if a young waiter dropped part of my breakfast on the floor, it was soon replaced. Value for money. Popular venue full at the time of my visit.

2 night stay at Dumbleton Hall Coutry House Hotel
We paid for an extra night which included breakfast and dinner so we could enjoy more of the local surrounding while staying at a prime quiet location. The hotel is well located in the country with a shory drive taking you away from the madness of the 21st Century. The room was nice with all of the required items you need in a place to sleep and relax. The staff are warm and friendly. Carol the waitress and a young lad who i believe is in the scouts made the experience more personnal.

Beautiful grounds
A great entrance and drive up to the magnificent looking hotel passing numerous sheep on the way. At one time the hotel must have been very grand inside but now looking a little tired. Bedrooms are small and could do with an update though the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and shower good. Restaurant we did have to wait 20 minutes before staff took our drinks order and then it was only after asking!! Main courses were good but could have been a bit hotter. Desserts also good.

Huge potential but bedroom/bathroom tired
Beautiful setting and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. A little bit disappointed with the room as it was showing signs of deteriorating decor and the bathroom was also in disrepair. We understand bedrooms are being refurbished and we will return when this is completed.

Not quite an idyllic retreat
After 4 nights in 4 different hotels travelling around the Cotswolds, our last Dumbleton Hall was so very disappointing. This was the most expensive but was a real let down. The food was very mediocre and although an old historic Manor House it was really stuck in the 60's. The only good thing was the grounds it sat in. We won’t return!! Virgin you need to rethink your offers £180 for this night was a big let down. We had amazing stays all over Cotswolds for a fraction of this cost.

Weekend break
This hotel is in a lovely setting, the rooms need some TLC very tired and dull. We were put in room 21 must be the worst room here, main door right outside our room, could here every man and his dog coming and going until 3:30 in the morning and then people up again at 7:00 hotel not even full

Not value for money
Booked an 'all year round' helicopter flight which, on booking, only 6 dates were offered, non of which we could make. Changed it to dinner, bed & breakfast at Dumbleton Hall as it looked stunning. The outside of the hotel and grounds were glorious but inside the room was old, basic and musty with a 70's shower, cracked floor tiles and sink. Two single beds had been pushed together so the headboards did not line up with the beds. Good food but no better than a good pub dinner. Terrible value.

Evening meal experience
Complained upon checkout about the poor service and Barry's main course, couldn't eat the beef as it was extremely chewy and mostly fat and gristle, told the head waitress and just said "I am sorry about that" no other compensation was offered. Apparently I was not the only one who complained.
