Fab Weekend
Had an excellent weekend at The Lincoln Hotel. Our deluxe room, which overlooked the cathedral, was extremely comfortable and well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. For our evening meal, we dined at the Green Room restaurant where the food was excellent and well presented. Breakfast was superb with everything you could possibly want. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend this hotel, we will be back.

Great location and great stay...
The historic quarter of the city of Lincoln is always a special place to be and the Lincoln hotel could not be better sited right beside the magnificent cathedral with its long term circling perigrine falcons. We occupied a very modern clean room with balcony , perfect for enjoying the late afternoon sunshine with a glass of wine. Dinner was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed this one night stay , we recommend itmmend it

Good short break
The Lincoln Hotel is rather dated and could do with some refurbishment (stained wrinkled carpets for example). However it was clean otherwise, staff were friendly and helpful and we had an excellent meal in the Green Room (interesting menu, attentive and helpful staff - Sophie and Adam - and food well cooked and presented). Only stayed one night but would go back if visiting Lincoln again.

Lovely room ... but food was so disappointing
The hotel and room are lovely, though the carpet is shoddy and poorly fitted, and the shower only runs cold. The biggest disappointment however is the food: the evening meal was not just disappointing, but awful in terms of quality and quantity ... and such a strange combination (eg onion rings with what essentially is a Sunday dinner). Also no warnings of nuts on one of the desserts on the menu or when asked for a description of what the Chocolate Delice was.

city break +dinner for two at Lincoln Hotel
Dinner was POOR. Portions were miniscule. Waitresses disappeared for half an hour. Cheese for dessert- dry un-palatable. Asked for a jug of water to help us eat the cheese. It did not come so I had to go to the bar and wait for a waitress to appear. The service was unbelievably slow. I complained at Reception.
