Great stay
A really lovely place to stay, room was light and airy, the shower room was clean and fresh and the beach was just a short walk across the road. Great stay.

The Royal Hotel - Ross on Wye
Great location close to A40 (but far enough away not to hear traffic) and aacent to the town centre. Traditional hotel with a lot of activity by guests abd locals alike. Good sized restaurant and bar (also serving bar meals). Really pleasant atmosphere and very attentive staff keen to ensure guests have everything they need.

Good value for money
Positives - lovely rooms with plenty of space, great views across the famous market place, menu good value for money, bar and breakfast staff really friendly especially Gay, who would go out of her way to make connections with guests and was really attentive. Negatives - checking in staff are efficient but not friendly or interested in conversation, having to book a table for dinner even though you were a paid guest. No alternative given so not helpful. Blood found on bed linen, needs checking

yerrible
put into the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in, none of the photos on web site show room 8, so small only room for one side table on double bed, no where to put open case other than on floor. one small top window opening so no air on a hot night. reported to reception the soap dispenser was empty, 5 hours later, after chasing they replaced it. breakfast was inedible, tea served in cup with tea bag in it and it stewed and too strong. so bad we didnt bother staying for 2nd night.
