What happens on the day?
On arrival, you’ll be shown through to your pre-booked table in Gillray's Bar, where you can take in your surroundings and views over the river Thames and Big Ben.
Relax with 1 hour 30 minutes of free-flowing gin and tonics as you enjoy a delightful selection of sweet and savoury treats including traditional finger sandwiches, scones and homemade cakes.

Availability
Your experience is available to book seven days a week, between 13.00 and 16.00.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Fantastic experience
Had such an amazing bottomless gin and tonic afternoon tea, the setting was lovely overlooking the Thames in a beautiful bar. The waiters were attentive, friendly and polite. Our glasses were kept topped up without even asking. The food was delicious, fresh and presented beautifully. Would highly recommend.

Happy Days
After waiting two years ( though nobodies fault CO19) myself and partner were entertained to a afternoon tea with a glass of gin which was in the most comfortable surroundings. I have to thank both Virgin Experiences, and the Marriott Hotel to have kept this special day open and available for this to happen.

A belated 50th Birthday treat with my BFF
We went for free flowing G&T and afternoon tea at Gillrays in London, after needing to rebook x2 due to lockdown. We were thoroughly spoilt from the minute we arrived. The G&T’s just kept flowing and the afternoon tea was varied and delicious. The venue was right on the Thames and so comfortable. Staff very attentive and friendly. Made some great memories. Would highly recommend this as a gift to anyone, who was wants something a little special.

Excellent service
The staff at the County Hall were just brilliant, the food was not the best afternoon tea I have had but it was reasonable but the venue is lovely and the staff just made the day for us. I would definitely recommend this experience

A really nice experience
We really enjoyed this Afternoon Tea and free-flowing G&T experience. The food was of a really good quality, and they were helpful in adjusting the food to suit dietary requirements. The gin was really nice and top ups were regular. Would definitely do this again!

Brilliant service
We went on a Monday and there were only couple of other groups in the bar. The setting was beautiful, looking over the London Eye and River Thames. Service was friendly and prompt. I would happily visit again.

Great afternoon tea experience
Me and my daughter spent a relaxing afternoon (3 hours in the end) enjoying a lovely afternoon tea overlooking the river Thames and Big Ben. Our waiter Mohammed was very polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant interior was also beautiful and the cakes were delicious.

Excellent!
I took a friend for her birthday and we had a lovely time. The bar is gorgeous and the atmosphere very relaxed. Staff were all extremely friendly & attentive and our gin glasses were brought out constantly without us having to ask. Very calm, serene surroundings, pretty views across the Thames. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all fresh and delicious, overall a wonderful day, can't fault it in any way.

Lovely view of the river.Great selection of sandwiches, 2 warm scones each and generous selection of pastries. Large gin and tonics free flowing as well as afternoon tea. I would recommend this experience.

Lovely afternoon overlooking Thames
Lovely afternoon tea made up of finger sandwiches, scones and cakes, oh and I forgot the endless glasses of gin and tonic!! Didnt need to ask, they kept coming as long as we drank them!

Plenty of gin!
Excellent venue, right by the Thames. Good selection of sandwiches and cakes with the option to have more sandwiches if we wanted them. The first gin and tonics arrived with so much ice it was difficult to drink but having asked for slightly less ice the rest were perfect. We had thought we might find service slow but more drinks were brought even before we had finished the current ones. We finished with a pot of tea. It was a lovely afternoon and we have no complaints.

Fantastic birthday surprise
Wow! What a fantastic time we had! Bought as a 50th birthday surprise for my sister and it was perfect! Endless gin with a really lovely afternoon tea, with delicious sandwiches and wonderful cakes and scones! Service was superb!!! Perfect birthday pressie!

Very enjoyable experience
My kids bought me this for Mother’s Day and I went with my daughter. The staff were very attentive and explained that we could have more sandwiches and tea or coffee if we wanted it, we didn’t get around to tea! I agree with the other reviews on the fact that the gin is not strong as I am sure it is just a single measure, which I don’t pour at home! At no point did we have to ask for more gin though as they kept them coming when we got near the bottom. The food was lovely too so a great time

Great food and gin
Visited for the bottomless afternoon tea which was great. Delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Would have been helpful to have a menu to hand as we were tasting ‘blind’. Our gin glasses were never empty with us often having two drinks at a time. Definitely good value for money

Fabulous afternoon
Really impressed from start to finish. I booked direct with the hotel- easily, but well in advance online. The hotel setting is fabulous, all the staff were pleasant, welcoming and attentive. There was no formality of ticking names off lists, we were made to feel very welcome and really valued as customers. The food was lovely, really different and tasty and presented well. The gin and tonics were delicious and refills appeared without even asking. Five stars.

Gin Afternoon Tea
We thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend our experience which included 5 gins (although suspect the last one was watered down) and were told we could have had more. The food was delicious and just the right amount. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic and attentive. We were seated next to the window with a clear view of the London Eye.

Bottomless Gin & Tonic afternoon
From the moment we stepped into the Marriott hotel the experience was amazing. From the member of staff that greeted us to the maitre d hotel in the bar area. The bar was relaxed and inviting. The staff always ensured that we were ok and had everything we needed. Food and drink we exceptional and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. One that I would recommend.

Amazing!
We received a Virgin Voucher as a Chrirmas gift and booked the Free-Flowing Gin and Tonic Afternoon Tea at The County Hall Hotel, London. Booking our experience was stress free and Afternoon Tea at County Hall was so much fun. The food was lovely and the service courteous and elegant. I'd recommend going at the time of sunset, when the restaurant is candle lit and the view of the Thames is magnificent.

Feeling special
What a fantastic treat in a truly special place.This experience is not something I would usually choose. But me and my husband absolutely loved it. Free flowing gin, afternoon team and great service what’s not to love.
