Coil pots beginners
We went on an introductory coil pot clay day. Rebecca was our instructor for the morning. Rebecca was a lovely lady who was patient and explained how to use the clay and made sure we would have an end product. I would thoroughly recommend this experience. The only thing to note is the actual place was so cold it effected me as I have arthritis and my joints became inflamed and very painful. But they are due to move to New premises so this may not be an issue

Enjoyable afternoon making a coil pot.
There were just seven of us. Aprons were provided. Everyone succeeded in making a vertical coil pot, all differently finished with various textures and rims. Suitable for absolute beginners. Wear sufficient clothing as the studio is cool, and the toilet facilities are basic. However, the studio is moving later in the year so better toilet and kitchen facilities should be available then.

Expert support and teaching
Sunken Studio coil workshop was great fun. Rebecca helped me make a coil pot by clear instructions, providing support when needed but letting me do it myself. Perfect teaching. The atmosphere was friendly and supportive.

Our teacher, Rebecca, was really informative and helpful. Made 3 pots using different techniques and freedom to decorate however you like. Very much enjoyable with Martha, the studio dog, as lovely additional company.

A very enjoyable experience
Having no previous pottery experience I didn't know what to expect but Rebecca was very welcoming and an excellent teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and was pleased to make not one pot, but two! I'm very much looking forward to picking up the completed pieces after they've been glazed. I'd recommend the experience for anyone, any age, and with or without previous experience.

Really good experience
This was a present and I thought it might not suit me as I'm not very creative. However, even if you haven't done anything like it before Rebecca explains it all and helps where you need it or leaves you to do it on your own. She is great and made it good fun. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Brillliant experience making a pot!
I bought my sister this experience for her 50th birthday, she is very arty, I am not, so I wasn't expecting to enjoy the day as much as I did! Rebecca who ran the event was really lovely, patient and very friendly. The students is in her house basement, its amazing! She went through everything step by step and we made 2 press pots. They will now be glazed and fired and we can collect them in a few weeks. Great experience for anyone into arty things of not. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

My pottery experience
This was for an introduction for absolute beginners. Rebecca was very welcoming and very supportive. She explained the process very clearly but left us a lot of freedom to create our own pot. It takes a few weeks for it to be glazed and fired, so haven't seen the finished product yet, can't wait!

I felt great after this!
I came away from my pottery experience feeling really chilled out and relaxed. Working with clay in a small supportive group felt a real treat, and made me think about doing more pottery/clay workshops. The only down sides were that it felt a bit of a rush decorating our pots (another half an hour would've helped), we didn't glaze our pots ourselves and we have to pick them up in 4 weeks time (maybe difficult for people living some distance away). Otherwise a lovely creative experience. Thanks!

Requires improvement
Rebecca is a very pleasant lady with excellent pre-course communication. The venue is on an industrial estate, in a large freezing warehouse with basic amenities (apparently is temporary). Started on time. We felt that there was no structure to the afternoon (eg. Objectives, conclusion etc) and the tasks set were vague and basic. We expected to use pottery wheel but only table activities. Also the pots made cannot be posted which was disappointing as we live far away. Needs improvement.
