Alpaca Trekking
A lovely day at Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation including our Alpaca Trekking experience. Only a small group of 4 alpacas which was really nice and personal. All the staff were lovely and very caring of all the animals at Eagle Heights. It has the feel of a much loved family run centre, not a big commercial enterprise. Fantastic views across the fields as it is up on the hill and the alpacas were all very well behaved. Would definitely recommend.

Fun day out without stress.
Napoleon, our alpaca, was great fun. He made the most of his lunch out on our walk & we really enjoyed the experience. Weirdly relaxing. Our guide was very knowledgeable & his enthusiasm came through when answering our many questions. We stayed for the Birds of Prey display & were delighted with the variety of birds & the information shared by their handler. A rustic set up with a lovely cafe & loads of outdoor seating. Well worth a visit.

Incredible Experience, recommend to animal lovers!
We had an awesome time with the animals. Bernard (our Alpaca) was great fun, and all the staff and volunteers were knowledgable and friendly. We also did the Dome overnight stay, and VIP experience the next day, all worth doing. We will definitely be back!

Informative and humorous guided trek.
The trek itself was brilliant! The guide was very engaging, informative and injected humour every now and then. The alpacas are such characters and I fell completely in love with them! Eagle Heights itself though, is a fairly shabby place and the animal enclosures are not big enough in my opinion. The booking process through Virgin Experience is convoluted to say the least!

A great day for animal lovers
We went on the alpaca trekking as part of a gift from someone. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The chap leading was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about alpacas, and clearly loved his job. They are easy to handle, although quite timid. If you like alpacas, then this is a must for you. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning, then we popped into the local village for a roast to finish off the day.
