Taking place in one of the equally rustic and cosy The Byre or The Stable, join the experts for a tutored tasting of three full pours of award-winning gins, served with recommended mixers and garnish. Choose either the Classic tasting with the most popular gins or the Seasonal Tasting, ideal for frequent visitors. Uncover the story of the Gin Bothy via a video presentation as well as beautifully illustrated tasting mats.
Top things off with a delicious Bothy Ploughman’s Platter, offering a selection of cheeses, oatcakes, homemade chutney, olives, fresh fruit, pickled onions, and crisps. Visit the two visitor rooms, ‘Bothy Beginnings,’ to track Gin Bothy’s journey from traditional homemade jams to creating small batch gins, spirits and ciders, and ‘Bothy Tales,’ showcasing the wider history of Scottish bothies.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at the Gin Bothy Experience, you’ll be warmly welcomed and shown through to one of the cosy and rustic bothy rooms. Your tasting experience will be comprised of three full pours of award-winning Gin Bothy gins, served with recommended mixers and garnish. Select your tasting in advance from the Classic or Seasonal gin options. Sip away as you learn about the history of the company, before tucking into a tasty Ploughman's Platter for good measure.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18
- Children and dogs are not permitted in the tasting rooms
- If there are any drivers or abstainers within the booking they would receive soft drinks during the tasting and a ‘Driver’s Gift Box’ to take home, which includes two Gin Bothy mini bottles (5cl each) and a mixer. Please note the mini gin bottles can be replaced with soft drinks or an equivalent value gift for abstainers

Availability
The experience is available Thursday to Sunday at 12.00 or 15.00, throughout the year. Exclusions apply.
Please note: The Gin Bothy Experience is closed 25 and 26 December every year and 1 to 9 January 2022 inclusive.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
