Ice Climbing for Two
Overview
For adventure seekers, for whom your average climbing wall is not enough, try Ice Climbing!
Get a taste of the arctic experience without the frostbite and lengthy expedition. You will each be kitted out with all the essential equipment including crampons, helmets, harnesses and gloves but unlike traditional wall climbing, this experience requires the use of pick axes to reach the top. You will be faced with a bare white wall of real snow and ice with nothing to hold on to, so you have to make your way up by fixing your crampons and axes into the surface. The walls are maintained at a below zero temperature and shaped by hand to create a realistic environment. With professional instructors you will have nothing to fear as you try your hand at ice climbing. The venue hosts the biggest indoor ice wall in the world – over 15 metres tall! If you’re an aspiring adventurer, try this very cool sport.
