Extended Microlight Flight
Overview
If you have always wanted to give flying a try then there is no better way to get started than with a qualified instructor in a fabulous Microlight aircraft. Microlighting is a type of flying that has progressed a great deal over the past 20 years and has now emerged as one of the safest and most economical ways to fly. Impressively light and simple to fly, you can sit back and enjoy the ride.
Take in the panoramic scenery of your chosen location and after your instructor has run through a few demonstrations, perhaps you can give the flying a go yourself? Many clubs now use fixed wing Microlights that offer the comfort of a regular training aircraft, whilst others still use aircrafts with the flexible wing, open cockpit style, adding that classic touch to your aerial experience. Whichever you end up in, you are sure to feel the delight of this remarkable aircraft.

What happens on the day?
The lesson starts with an in depth briefing on all aspects of Microlight flying from your instructor. You will get to grips with the plane and talk through its main features. The basic principles of flight will be explained and you’ll discuss any safety information.
You will then take to the air for this extraordinary experience. So relax and take in the sights of your chosen location, whilst your instructor demonstrates a few turns and if you’re feeling brave enough - give it a go yourself for a more ‘hands-on’ experience. This will depend on the location you choose and the weather conditions of the day.

Best experience ever.
Had an awesome day with some awesome people. This was an experience I'll never forget and plan to repeat on a frequency of my passions demands. I'll sell my bloody car if I have to lol. Was met by the instructor with a briefing and then was told that if I wanted to fly the flexwing myself I could. This was more than I expected. This was one of the best days ever. Will do it again in the near future. TOTALLY HOOKED. 👍😁

Great flight from Eaglescott airfield in Devon
Book with Eaglescott. I am very please I did as it is probably one of the best fights I’ve done, my instructor was very good, not only was I given really good instructions while being in control of the aircraft but my instructor had so much information about the area we were flying over made for a very interesting flight along the north coast of Devon. If your reading this you probably already have a voucher if not would recommend calling the airfield and booking directly with Eaglescott

Full on
Absolutely worth it ..flying in a flex wing is an amazing experience. Be prepared to make several attempts at arranging the flight day as weather really does need to be right conditions to fly out in the open air in a kite with a motorcycle engine strapped at the back. I loved it and will do it again and again .

A Magical Day
On Friday 7th July 2017 I had the most enjoyable, exciting and beautiful experience with my Microlight Flight. I felt completely at ease with the help of my pilot and was able to completely relax and, without hesitation, have the chance to be involved in the actual controls. What a wonderful day.

A great experience
Went for my microlight flight in early November, already postponed because of weather conditions, uncertain how the day would turn out. It was a bit grey and hazy, with a little rain, so views were not excellent, but good enough, and the whole a experience was memorable, flying along the East Lothian coast, identifying various landmarks, including several famous golf courses. A shot at the controls added to the fun of the occasion.

Microlight Experience
Thankyou to Jill and Gordon of East Lothian microlight. This microlight experience for my 60 th birthday was so much fun; enjoying the East Berwick coast, watching the geese fly south and climbing up thru cloud to descend thru holes in the "fluff" was wonderful. We even got to glide in for the landing.

A fantastic experience. My pilot John Keep was caring and informative about the flight. The aircraft was comfortable. The take off was smooth, hardly any noise except the whirring of the propeller. To see Corfe castle from the air so different than my visit on the grounds. As it was a delight to celebrate my 80th birthday flying!!! Thank you to John and all the staff who made my day possible.

View from the air!
I really enjoyed my view of Bass rock and nearby coastline from the air. Everything was well explained by my pilot! Wrap up warm! We went through a couple of rain showers and it really cools you down.

Not very extended
An enjoyable experience but not very long only spent 25 minutes in the air which I didn't realise until we landed and was on my way home. Air time advertised as around a hour

First effort at controlling a plane
A long drive to get to the aerodrome and the weather not being great was not a great start but it was an interesting experience. Felt a bit sick so it could not be an extended microlight flight. The providers were very kind and said we could come again to complete the experience.
