Your guide will provide you with tuition as well as history that goes beyond the guidebooks. Forgotten how beautiful London is!
Very knowledgeable guide. Gave tips about how to take shot i.e. angles, aperture etc which was great for those who were nervous about getting off the "auto" mode and he was never patronising to those with more experience. Nice easy walk around the Bank area photographing some amazing buildings both old and new and finally ending up at Millennium Bridge. A really good day with some fab photos taken.

London photography tour
Very good tour. Excellent host. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Engaged with everyone in group. Helped with general and specific questions about what and how to take shots. A range of places taken to, including more unusual and touristy places, in which to take photos. Would recommend. I'm a beginner but my partner more experienced but we both got something from the tour.

City Gems.
That guy Simon sure put us at our ease. He went through our camera techniques and handed out advice to everyone. As well as showing us different angles on photography he put us in the heart of it by feeling the subject, not just click and go. His knowledge of the city was superb , going back in time to explain the origin of the archetecture. Great day out with lovely down to earth bloke. Highly recommend this experience .

Great 2 hour tour
Steve Franck, the photographer who led the tour was brilliant. He adjusted things to suit the needs of the group. His passion for photography was contagious and his local knowledge invaluable. I wish the tour was longer than 2 hours as I felt I was soaking up wisdom all the while.

I learnt a lot!
I wasn't sure what to expect on the History of London Photography tour but along with around 12 others we had a great leader who knew a lot about photography and enough (with the help of his little notepad) history of London and he made the 2 hours a lot of fun. You learn so much through trial and error but it as great to fats track the learning having the photographer to hand to help int he moment. Great experience I would recommend for anyone with a camera

Wonderful few hours exploring the old sites of London. Our guide was excellent extremely knowledgeable about the architecture and history of all the buildings. A fair bit of walking but was well worth it. This was a gift off my daughter for Christmas and as keen photographer it was a great gift.

Excellent in every way
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The guide was so very well informed and got me looking at things very differently. I thought his knowledge of the sights was brilliant and incisive. If anything could be improved upon it would be to make the tour longer (in time) the 15 or so kilometers my fit bit indicated was long enough in distance! So several blisterful hours of contemplation and photo reviews I came away from a gift that just gave and gave - brilliant

Brilliant!
London - Shooting the Past. This was an inspirational two-hour tour, provided by an entertaining and most knowledgeable guide. He was not only a professional photographer but a keen student of architectural design and its place in modern and historical London. I was born in London but this man showed me sites that I did not know existed......and all within a short walking distance from London's Bank station. Seeing the camera angles showing how Victorian London comes face to face with 21st century towers was fascinating. I can not praise this tour and its guide enough. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyable experience
The City is so much quieter on a Saturday, so walking down the alleyways and side streets is much easier for a small group of photographers. We were taken to some out of the way locations where we were not only given an insight into the architecture of the City, but useful advice on photo composition and technical tips about getting the best from your camera. Very good value.

Great time but rushed
The photography tour was great, and I felt a learnt a good range of new techniques for using my camera, by the tour leader spent too long talking about his book and his exhibitions at the start of the tour so we had to rush past a lot of the photography spots I would of liked to photograph because we ran out of time.

A good time with a camera
This was an enjoyable couple of hours with a camera, walking around the City of London. The tour was historically interesting and there were good photo opportunities. Richard (the guide) was friendly and helpful. There was a brief introduction to camera modes before we started, and some of the elements that make a good photograph: the rule of thirds, bird's eye view, worm's eye view. Most people on a photographic tour would probably already be aware of these but the tour was time well spent.

Photographic History Tour of London
Small group giving everyone the opportunity to have 1-1 time with Richard if needed. Richard was knowledgeable & helpful & able to answer/show any questions-queries we had with our cameras. The route taken took in both old and new London and afforded ample photo opportunities. I came away feeling that I had learnt a lot from this course. Specific designated meeting place for the end of the course is needed as the group could not see/find Richard nor he us. Would recommend

Photography in London
Unfortunately in spite of the beautiful summer and autumn we chose a day of rain. The tutor was good, but his explanation at the start of different camera uses was way above my head and not relevant to my camera. We were expect to know a lot more. My husband couldn't hear it at all and he would have gained much more from the description. Some good ideas of shots to take, which I shall use in the future

An interesting photographic walk with Richard along and over some of London's main bridges. Our tutor and guide was helpful and knowledgable about photography and I saw new parts of the city and got to photograph them from new perspectives. It was a small group so we all had sufficient time with our course tutor and , the weather was kind ( not the best course to do in the wet!)
