Great Day
Talk/tour which lasted a couple of hours was led by the vineyard owner who was both enthusiastic and entertaining. Wine tasting then took place in a marquee where we got to choose a glass of our favourite (hard as it was all good) to accompany the delicious buffet lunch. All in all a very enjoyable day

Vineyard Tour
We had a very enjoyable and interesting time. The tour was informative and fun, and we learnt a great deal about the whole process of growing vines, harvesting the grapes and wine making. This ended with us tasting several of the different wines produced, all of which were extremely good. We then finished the experience, with a very nice buffet lunch with choice of wine to round it off. Would thoroughly recommend the experience.

Vineyard Tour, Tasting and Lunch for Two
We were greeted with tea and coffee with Biscuits, before the owner of the vineyard gave an introductionary talk. We went for a walk in the vineyards and was told a lot about the grapes are grown. We toured the winery before a tasting session. We then had a delicious ploughmans lunch which was served with the wine of your choice. This was a throughly enjoyable expereince.

Vineyard Tour, Tasting and Lunch for Two
Upon arrival we were invited to have coffee or tea and then split into 2 groups. We were shown how the grapes are grown differently depending on the variety, followed by a tour of the bottling plant. We then sampled 4 of the wines to decide which one to have with lunch.

Vineyard Tour, Tasting and Lunch for Two
The day was wet and cold so we only had a short tour of the vineyard. Most of the information about the wine making was given in the shop. A short tour of winery was given but no actual demo of any processes. Lunch was good.

A most enjoyable experience
Our tour guide, David 'the Hat', was knowledgeable and engaging, offering us a good introduction to wine making and tasting. The wine is pleasant and lunch was light and tasty...just right for a day out in Sussex! I would highly recommend the experience to others.

Lucky to have sunshine, in a lovely area close to Hastings and Rye. The tour was fine, the wines were a pleasant surprise and the guide and staff were friendly. The lunch was great, quality food, and the tour was not too long or tiring.

More than expected
Two of us went on the tour as it was a joint Christmas present. We had an excellent time. We arrived at 10 and left just before 3pm. The tour was conducted by Les, the owner. He is hugely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his vineyard. After a lengthy but enthralling lecture on vine training we walked through the vines to see the implementation; then on to the winery and finally a tasting of about half a dozen different wines. An excellent buffet lunch followed.

Good day
Tea,coffee, and biscuits on arrival. Then short talk indoors. The weather outside was very windy and pouring of rain but for some reason the guide took us outside to talk some more! We then went into the winery but no demos to show us. Back indoors we were given an opportunity to wine taste. Had a lovely ploughman's lunch with a glass of wine(no choice of wine as some have said). I thought voucher entitled you to take a bottle of wine of your choice, but sadly was given bottle of mead, the only drink we didn't like. Good day overall, shame it was tipping it down outside.

Not quite as expected
I'll give reviews in the order of Vinyard Tour, Tasting and Lunch. The tour was very limited as an actual tour. We saw the vineyards, given information about the various vines and saw the bottling plant. Not a lot to be seen if I'm honest and disappointed with the tour. No information on the process from start to finish. Tasting was informative but limited. Lunch was good with plenty to eat. Not one I would go on again or recommend.

Good day.BUT
Overall a good day the tour was very educational going through the process of wine making. But when coming to the the wine tasting it self they only gave u one glass to taste all the wines, which was very poor. The lunch was plentiful and a good selection of food.

Good idea - poor execution!
We went to Carr Taylor Wines for a Vineyard Tour + lunch. Whilst the guide was very informative of the workings of the Vineyard I am afraid to say the rest of the tour left a lot to be desired. Firstly the group was very large ie 40+ and this made it difficult to hear the guide especially when we went into the buildings. Secondly the wine tastings were very small in size (soupçon!) and this meant you could hardly taste what was being offered. Lunch was OK and we could eat outside in the sun.
