What happens on the day?
Your finalised itinerary will be sent to you 10 days prior to your tour date, so please be advised that the arranged meeting point and timings can vary. Throughout the day, you’ll be taken by your Discover Newmarket tour guide through this famed racehorse training centre. You’ll visit Newmarket’s world-famous training grounds to see some of the town’s 3,000 racehorses being ridden out on Warren Hill, before taking a behind-the-scenes view of a working racing yard. You’ll be shown around, introduced to the horses, briefed on the yard routines and feeding regimes, and ask any questions.
As part of your day you’ll also visit the National Stud, home to some of the leading stallions of the racing world. After a coffee break, you’ll head to Palace House, situated in Charles II’s sporting palace and stables. You’ll visit the new National Horseracing Museum, a National Art gallery of British Sporting Art, and get the chance to meet former racehorses and learn what they do after racing in the flagship home of Retraining of Racehorses.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Interesting but could be better
Whilst interesting I felt the day could have been better. More detail at the National Stud would have been nice.
