Learn to Surf for One
Overview
Everyone has thought about surfing at some point in their life, so what’s actually holding you back? This Learn to Surf experience is the perfect opportunity to get out there on the waves and cross surfing off your to do list. You never know, it could become a brand new hobby.
With this beginners lesson you can acquire the basic knowledge and skills to get yourself started in this popular water based pastime. You’ll have 3 to 4 hours of some serious wet and wild fun, while taking part in one of the most exhilarating experiences Mother Nature has to offer us. A wetsuit and surfboard are provided for you as well as water safety information and tuition from fully certified instructors and lifeguards. Now is the time to try something exciting. So slip into that wetsuit, grab your board and head for the sandy beach with its awesome waves that await you.

What happens on the day?
On arrival for your lesson you should meet your instructors at the Preseli Venture lodge to get kitted up and meet your instructors. You will then travel by minibus for the short drive to the best beach the instructors chose on the day, where your lesson will begin. You can leave your car in the private car park at the centre.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 8
- You must be able to swim 25 metres
- Participants will be required to fill in a medical health and fitness declaration form. Please check with your doctor if you have any medical concerns
- An enrolment / fitness declaration must be completed on the day of the activity during your registration
- Spectators are welcome, however views may be restricted
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
Selected weekends and weekday dates from March to November subject to surf conditions.
We recommend you book at least two to four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available . All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 2 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours for this activity. The start and finish times may vary depending on weather and surf conditions, please check with the supplier at the time of booking.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
