Great Foraging Experience
Very informative day out foraging on the attractive coastline of Portwrinkle. Sophia our friendly guide/tutor was very knowledgeable and our group learnt a lot during a very pleasant day in her company.

Great day out, educational and delicious food
My first time foraging, and it was a super experience. Fez was a very knowledgable and approachable leader, imparting so much information about plants and mushrooms. 12 of us on the day, and we walked the woods together (wellies a great idea) foraging hazelnuts, sloe berries, rose hips, mushrooms, blackberries, dandelions and more. Delicious lunch, vegetarian with vegan options, made from food foraged by Totally Wild UK. Social distancing well managed and didn’t detract from the day.

Foraging in Yorkshire
There were limitations to the day due to Covid considerations, but overall this didnt affect the enjoyment and learning experience, and kudos to Fez who was a very knowledgeable and hands on facilitator...foraging in an area he had not visited before ensured the day was one of genuine discovery . At the end of the foraging we were given taster dishes which included foraged ingredients ..due to covid we were unable to create our own dishes but to be fair I was happier to be served instead !

Foraging through Covid
Great day out but, unfortunately due to Covid, some changes have been made which detract from what I'm sure would have been a brilliant day. The main change is no cooking. The person running the course (Rob) was brilliant, he is very knowledgeable! In future I think it might be better to give the foraging bags at the start so you can forage as you go but again this may have been changed due to Covid.

Beautiful day, disappointing experience...
Although our guide was friendly, he didn't know the location hence we didn't find much to collect or explore. We were told much about mushrooms and some common plants such as nettles and blackberries plus a couple more. The prepared lunch was good although there were no drinks available. Considering the age range, there were no rest breaks and the youngest got bored after 1 hrs- we all tried hard to show interest and hope to find something worth foraging. Full car park, little worth foraging.

Expensive and boring
60 pounds for a walk, being shown a few plants and a couple of slices of quiche- very expensive. Understand there are covid restrictions but it truly was a bit boring and not good value for money.
