Animal Encounter at Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo for One
Overview
Get up close to one of a choice of fascinating animals at Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo in North Yorkshire. Flamingo Land Zoo is currently home to well over 120 species of bird, mammal, amphibian, reptile and fish. You can choose from an animal encounter with a Meerkat, Lemur or Penguin.
Pick a penguin and you’ll learn all about the colony and help feed them their lunch; you may even get a super friendly one who’ll take a fish from your hand. If meerkats are your thing, you can learn about their habitat at the park, feed them snacks and get a tour of their ‘house’. You could otherwise opt to learn about the lemurs and meet them in their own environment at the park, whilst offering them treats.
This fantastic experience also grants you admission into the Theme Park for the day to enjoy the great attractions and thrilling rides, along with a 20% off gift voucher to be spent in the gift shop.

Super cute
Had an extremely knowledgeable guide who genuinely wanted me to have the best experience possible. He was very informative but also let me interact with the meerkats as much as possible.

Absolutely fantastic!
I took my husband to feed the lemurs and it was absolutely fantastic fun! The keeper was very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting information about the lemurs while they were jumping around and climbing all over us - I want to do this again!

Great present
I bought this experience for my son at Christmas He and his girlfriend did this last week-end. He chose lemurs thinking they would be more interactive. He was right!. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learning all about them from the keeper. They then spent time going round to see the other animals and finally enjoyed the rest of the park. Well worth it.

Took my family yesterday using this experience and it was brilliant. The Lemurs climbed on our knees and fed from our hands. My children absolutely loved the animal encounters and then the rides completed the day. A long time since I visited Flamingo Land and very impressed at the improvement to the park and how the staff were interesting when giving a talk on the animals we fed.

flamingo land penguins
Booking process was messy but staff were very helpful in sorting things out. Penguin feeding experience was brilliant - really long session hands on with the penguins. Myself and my niece had a great time.

Animal Encounter at Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo for One
We had rainy start to the day but it was fine when we were taken to the meerkats by a friendly and knowledable meerkat keeper. The kids enjoyed the experience of feeding the meerkats although there was no tour of the meerkat house afterwards as advertised, otherwise very enjoyable and we enjoyed the whole park.

Animal Encounter at Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo for Two
We felt that the animals were very well cared for, clean and well fed. With lack of direction signs we found it difficult to find the animals that we wished to see.

Not worth the money paid
Meerkats experience. Barely got 20 minutes for the experience. Sat on the rocks while the keeper gave us biscuits and lettuce to feed them then offered meal worms to entice them over. Once they ate the meal worms they wasn't much interested, they last approx 6 mins. Couldn't get any pictures of us with meerkats and keeper never offered to take a photo for us either. Not worth the money paid quite disappointed. But the zoo for the rest of the day good.
