Sea Kayaking Coastal Adventure for One -Testing

On arrival, 10 minutes prior to your event start time, you will receive a complimentary tea, coffee or cold drink. After meeting with the group and an introduction to the experience, your sea kayak guide will get you kitted out in wet-suits and safety equipment before showing you to your kayak.

There will then be a safety briefing and tuition session on the use of the paddle and the kayak. After a short minibus journey to one of the favourite kayaking spots your adventure will begin. Starting in a quaint, sheltered harbour you will soon become used to sitting in your kayak and manoeuvring successfully. You will usually play some warm up games before you set out along the coast to explore the hidden delights of this sea kayaker’s paradise. During your coastal adventure you will learn about basic kayak strokes and get a real feel for what is an enjoyable hobby for many people. Upon your return to the Eco Lodge, the guides will ask you for help with rinsing the kit in their rain water tubs and then it’s the end of your half-day experience. • Minimum age: 10 (under 15s must be accompanied by a participating adult)
• Minimum height: 3ft 9in
• You must be in good health with a basic level of fitness and you need to fit into one of the wet-suits – the largest is adults size XXL
• You also need to have a basic swimming ability
• Spectators aged 16 and over, are welcome but will have a restricted view
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Morning sessions run from 09.00 to 13.00 and afternoon sessions run from 14.00 to 18.00.

Courses run on selected days all year round.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow 4 hours for the experience.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
