You’ll be shown everything you need for true coffee expertise with the guidance of industry professionals. Kick things off with a brief background on coffee and the differences in roasting and quality, before grinding and tamping on a professional espresso machine to extract espresso. If you’ve brought your own machine along, you can perfect the art of milk texturing too.
This session allows you to ask plenty of questions and develop great skills, so you can serve café quality coffee to your friends and family at home!

What happens on the day?
Your class will start promptly at 13.00. On arrival you’ll meet with industry professionals who’ll be taking your class. Learn how to make café-quality coffee with this entertaining and informative 2 hour class.
Bring along your own coffee machine if you like, or try your hand at working a commercial coffee machine; either way, you’ll leave with plenty of newfound knowledge on the art of making your own coffee.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 16 (under 18 years an adult must be present on site) Accompanying adults can use the café facilities downstairs
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The experience is available on Saturdays from 13.00 to 15.00. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 2 hours for the full experience.
Please do allow plenty of time for arrival and parking. Parking on Saturdays is round the back of the Foundry and you can enter through the loading bay doors. The café will be open on the ground floor.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Great barista course
We were introduced to how coffee is processed and the intricate detail between making a coffee and an awesome coffee. Well worth it for the amateur home wannabe barista

Really interesting

Relaxed and informative
A brilliant experience. Hannah educated us expertly; both engaging and informative.... I feel like a coffee sommelier now :-) Genuinely enjoyed the experience and would recommend to anyone with a love for ☕️☕️☕️☕️.
