Kew: Sandwiches £6. 330ml cans £2.60. Ouch!
I expect there are lots of reviews telling you how lovely the gardens are, which they are, but very few telling everyone what a rip off the catering is. Unless you have recently won the lottery, take your own snacks and drinks. Kew prices are beyond a joke. That aside, it is a lovely place to visi, can easily spend 4+ hours wandering about and still not see everything.

Kew Gardens experinece for family of four
We were lucky. We had this gift experience on a day of stunning weather and beautiful sunshine. The kids, husband and I had a great day. The children loved the dragon trail and the Hive and we loved the Victorian glass house which was spectacular. The only down side was the queue to get in. Why don't they have a separate queue for people with the Virgin vouchers? Too hot to stand in the sun!

Food bad but otherwise lovely
We ate at the pavilion bar and grill. Food portions were minute and really tasteless. My daughter had Mac and cheese with some sort of broccoli purée tuning through it - rated foul. We looked at the street food too which was also not kid friendly. Youngest just wanted ice lolly - no where to be found. Gardens gorgeous, pagoda rip off. Stay on the ground and bring picnic!

Not a bad day out...not a great day out either
Got this experience for the missus' birthday. Thought would be a good day out with the kids and her. We got good weather. Sunny but cold Shame that majority of the attractions were "closed for maintenance" which was rather disappointing. Restaurants and cafes prices are very very high. Take sandwiches from home is my advise Orchid festival really changed the day. Walkway was a let down For the price that I paid...I suppose it was worth it.

Below average experience
Really disappointing trip - many of the "attractions" including the Pagoda, Bridge, Temperate House, Tree House and other areas are either covered for refurbishment or closed. Food prices are horrendous - £2.50 for a can of lemonade, £4.95 for a slice of cake. Virtually no parking - opted to rent somebody's driveway through JustPark website (which was best thing about the trip)
