Really enjoyable experience
My daughter and I visited Farrington Lodge Hotel to use the experience voucher which had been a gift. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the afternoon tea is served in a lovely garden room looking out onto the grounds. The sandwiches were delicious and the desserts were tasty and plentiful. We had a great time and the staff were lovely from reception to the serving staff. We were attended to by Mollie and an equally lovely chap whose name I did not get. Highly recommended.

Afternoon Tea at Farington Lodge
Good sandwiches and lovely cakes. The service was excellent, we were asked several times if we wanted more coffee and tea and the cakes we couldn't manage were put in a box for us with no problem at all.

Champagne afternoon tea
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Farington Lodge Hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful and Champagne was served first. With a good choice of fillings the sandwiches were delicious and there was a good selection of cakes. It was so nice to see tablecloths and teapots. A really nice venue and very relaxing!

Champagne afternoon tea
Very friendly service and welcoming. Unlimited coffee kept on coming. A choice of 2 different sandwiches per person. My wife and I opted for smoked salmon (with a generous in its filling) plus a beef with horseradish (think the horseradish was homemade and delicious) and a coronation chicken for the other one. The cakes were two strawberry meringue, 2 iced Madeira cakes, 2 chocolate slices (all homemade) and 4 chocolate covered strawberries. We were a little over faced and ended with doggie bag!

Rushed!
The food itself was good but the whole experience felt very rushed. Everything arrived at the table at once instead of letting us finish the sandwiches, scones and cakes first. But the strawberries and lemon mousse all came at the same time which turned out to be very sloppy and warm when we ate it. We were too rushed.

Very Nice
Excellent afternoon tea, sandwiches were excellent and fresh, just three points, chicken sandwiches contained chicken with skin on and some bones, cakes were all sponge based, coffee was done in cafetiere and not strong enough for us. To improve they need supply better cakes and offer espresso machine coffee.

Reminded me of a nursing home
Unfortunately this is a very tired looking building inside. It was very quiet, only two other couples were dining. The food wasn't great either. However the staff were lovely and helpful but I would not visit again or recommend this place.
