brilliant break away
We have just spent 2 night break at Dumbleton Hall. We had a great time and the staff were brilliant. They have spent time signposting the walkways and the tables in the restaurant are adequately spaced. There are plenty of hand gel dispensers to use before and after using doorways. The food was excellent. Check in was completed online to keep contact to minimum. You can book meals and drink to your room and pay on departure.

An enjoyable two night stay.
Stopped at Dumbleton County House Hotel how refreshing than stopping in a Travel lodge or Premier Inn . Great customer service from arrival to departure . Very good food and creeky floor boards only added to the pleasant atmosphere . Nice gardens to walk around after the evening meal . Great place to be based to look around the Cotswolds .

Lovely country getaway
Only two nights I'm afraid, but a lovely Cotswold setting. We arrived at the hotel and walked straight into a lovely hall with a roaring fire. The room was warm and comfy, the food delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.

Relaxing break in beautiful surroundings
Following a recent bereavement in our family our children booked us this Virgin Experience break to Dunbleton Hall Hotel as a 'chill out' break. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful as you approach up the drieway. The interior is magnificent (ok some complain it's dated, we say it has original character). Staff are professional, helpful and cheerful. We ate in restaurant and bar... food is excellent. Breakfast fresh and organised. All in all a must visit if you want a relaxing break.

Lovely relaxing 2 night break
Dumbleton Country House was lovely. Comfortable room, great facilities and a warm and helpful welcome from staff. We enjoyed the restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was delicious, the wine menu offered lots of options and the staff were helpful when we asked for recommendations. The library bar, though small, is well stocked and the seating is cosy for a pre- or post-dinner drink. There were also some very pretty walks around the grounds. We would definitely recommend.

Lovely Country House Hotel but a little run down
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in a standard double room with wonderful views. The room was on the top (second) floor and, despite using the lift, required navigating rambling corridors and stairs. The room was fine with an enormous en-suite bathroom looking a little tired and the radiator heating system was not very effective. The dining was good and the staff professional but need to smile more! Carol made a real difference in the dining room with her bubbly smiling personality.

Short 2 night break
Setting and grounds fantastic, staff friendly and helpful. Only slight criticism is unlike the communal areas downstairs the bedroom was somewhat tired and would benefit from updating. Saying that room clean and bed comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to making a return visit.

Fabulous short break
Lovely hotel in lovely grounds. A bit remote tho and we didn't find anything locally to get food or drink so had to remain at the hotel but food was good. Decor a bit sad looking but with lovely wood paneling/carving. Lovely open fire in reception. Room clean and comfortable.

Dumbleton Hall Hotel
The location was wonderful, the room was adequate which needs some updating. There were a couple of H&S issues 1. with a bedside light having the electrical lead taped with insulating tape (see photo)2. The toilet seat was loose and 3. The hot water tap on the bath was inclined to move when turning the HOT water on. Breakfast was very good and restaurant staff were very polite and accommodating. Reception staff were also very polite and accommodating Overall a good but not exceptional visit.

Enjoyable experience
Having been before to Dumbleton Hall we were looking forward to our break. We were not disappointed although the room we had this time was smaller than our visit last year. Our breakfast was perfect and the staff are very attentive. We met friends outside the Hall for our evening meals so cannot comment on dinner. We would definitely recommend Dumbleton as a lovely location.

Unimpressed
Beautiful surroundings unfortunately although the rooms were clean the hotel was not. Glasses and plates left for hours on tables outside on the patio and in the gardens also in the conservatory attracting numerous insects leaving guests to move things around from one table onto another otherwise nowhere to sit. The hotel furnishings were shabby and in need of a good clean. I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Awful stay
Despite having a 2 night stay voucher we left after 1st night. Room very basic and bathroom not the cleanest. Toiletries very basic. The service was terrible the staff need training felt as if we where invisible in the dining room despite it not being very busy. Had to ask for our order to be taken and drinks to be sent to the table. Quality of the food basic

Very disappointed
Booked a 2 night stay at the hotel. I upgraded to a classic room as recommended by the hotel, but the room was not as on the website. The room was for disabled and although I was happy to see they had made sure the disabled can stay, we are fully able and the bathroom especially the bath was for disabled and we were unable to lie down and have a relaxing bath. The restaurant food was poor and very little choice and service was poor throughout the hotel. Overall very disappointed.
