Great vegan & gluten free options
Great ambiance, lovely afternoon tea with plant-based and gluten free options following a pleasant stroll around the gardens. Note though that the gardens close quite early in the winter (2pm indoor and 3pm everything) so be sure to arrive early enough to enjoy them.

Lovely anniversary treat
Spent the whole day wandering around the gardens. Lots to see, not just the wonderful plants and greenhouses, but artworks around the gardens and in exhibitions. Particular favourites were the Hive, the rock garden and the Princess of Wales glasshouse. Afternoon tea at the Botanical was a real treat. A good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes - enough to take away for later.

Beautiful Day!
Myself and my husband spent a wonderful day at Kew yesterday. We chose to go in September when the children were back at school, and it was perfect! Kew is beautiful and serene. The staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the Botanical Restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so we couldn’t have the afternoon tea option. But this was not an issue as the alternative was a gorgeous two course lunch and drink in the Pavillion restaurant. The menu wasn’t huge, but the food was delicious!:)

Kew Gardens with tea at Botanical
So much to see at Kew..always a treat. Botanical closed, so Kew offered us lunch at Pavilion Bar instead. Kew very helpful. Impossible to sort this via Virgin…no help at all.

Great Day Out
We had a lovely day , would recommend . Kew Gardens is everything advertised and is a must see. Once inside it is well signposted , be prepared for a lot of walking if you want to see it all but even if you just wanted a more relaxing day the grounds are immaculate and peaceful with lots of benches and places to picnic. The Botanical welcome was friendly ;afternoon tea was enjoyable but little room for choice - classic or vegetarian with standard inclusions , service was good. Great day out!

Fabulous day out
What a lovely way to spend the day! Kew gardens is so beautiful and interesting and there is so much to see. The afternoon tea was very tasty and looked wonderful when it arrived. Wear comfortable shoes, there is lots of walking, although there is a train you can get on (extra cost) that is a 40min tour of the whole gardens, which is well worth it. Highly recommend!

Day out at Kew with afternoon tea
Good day out. Booking experience went well eventually. I think the process of redeeming the voucher could be simpler. Using voucher at Kew was very easy, both to enter and for afternoon tea. Would recommend Kew for a visit. Afternoon tea sandwich selection would not be to everyone's taste so an option to order what you wanted would make it better. Tea overall was good though

fantastic day at Kew
what a great day, it just makes you realize how many different species there are and to see them up close, and with having afternoon tea just made the day, shame the sun wasn't out, was a little confusing on booking the day as you had two part to book Kew Garden then Afternoon Tea, but tickets printed the same could be more clearer and booking the afternoon tea was easy but could have a voucher box to tick as came out with cost on booking form that was a concern but was all ok on the day.....

Excellent Day Out
Voucher for Afternoon Tea was. Christmas gift in 2019. We were unable to take this offer as Covid-19 hit the world. Virgin allowed an extension on the voucher and we managed our visit in 2021. We had a great day visiting all the main attractions, topped off with a lovely afternoon tea t The Botanical. All in all the visit is recommended and a welcome centre piece to our short break. Thank you.

Fabulous gardens
My wife and I were given entry to Kew Gardens and afternoon tea as a wedding anniversary present by our daughters in 2020 but were unable to use the voucher until July 2021. It was well worth the wait as the gardens are beautiful and the afternoon tea was excellent. The booking of the experience could have been easier as we were issued tickets for a timed entry to the gardens but were still required to have the voucher to enable entry which fortunately we had taken with us.

Great Day
It was good to be able to get round easily using my wheelchair. Some of the houses where not assemble inside due to stairs. Also all the doors to & from the houses & some inside needed me to ask other people for help (not good). But a very good day

Kew Gardens - Botanical afternoon tea
We had a wonderful, tranquil and restful day in beautiful surrounding. The staff in the Botanical were friendly and efficient. The food was good. Although a bit breezy - it blew the cobwebs away. A much needed respite in our chaotic world. Easy and accessible. Will definitely go again and would recommend.

Fantastic sunny day at Kew!
Great day at Kew Gardens. Luckily the weather was fantastically sunny. Kew wasn't at all crowded and we saw everything we wanted to see, even with the social distancing guidelines. Unfortunately, some attractions were closed due to Covid but we still enjoyed the day. The afternoon tea was excellent at The Botanical. Food and service very good and the location is stunning, right by the lake overlooking the glasshouse. The whole day was very good value for money.

Lovely Day Out
Wonderful day out at Kew Gardens, followed by afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and very attentive throughout. Sandwiches were ok, could maybe do with a bit more variety, two with cream cheese is a bit much for those who don't really like it. Scones were lovely and very filling and the mini cakes were just amazing, lovely flavours and all different. Great experience!
