What happens on the day?
Once you have arrived at the ‘glamp site’ you will be greeted by a member of the team and will be shown to your pod. Each pod has plenty of headroom and a floor area of approximately seven square metres – so there is definitely space for two people or even two adults and two small children.
Each timber pod is designed to accommodate the variable British weather with ventilation for the hot days and lamb's wool insulation for the colder weather - a wooden 'tent' for all seasons. All you need to bring is your camping gear including your beds and bedding and enjoy.
Participant guidelines
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
- Due to the rural location the experience is not suitable for wheelchair users
- Unfortunately, since the area is surrounded by grazing farmland, pets are not allowed on site
- Please note: guide dogs for the blind and hearing dogs for profoundly deaf people will be accepted by prior arrangement
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

The rain didnt get us down!
Me, my boyfriend and my puppy stayed 2 nights in the camping pods at quiet site as a birthday present from my mum and it was lovely! Great staff and facilities! The man behind the bar was amazing and attentive! Cant remember his name but all doing very well with the pandemic. Can't wait to book a hobbit hole for a night in the winter. Pic of the puppy because she's stunning in her Ullswater Coat.

Lovely Getaway
Had 2 wonderful nights in a glamping pod. The small heater worked well and the blackout curtains were great. The rest of the facilities onsite were awesome, especially the bar; felt very cosy with the open fire! Lots of gorgeous trails nearby.

Beautiful Campsite
Amazing campsite, we stayed in a pod and had the best few days. Campsite and the facilities are kept to a great standard, toilets and washing up areas are clean and nicer than most. Staff on site were very welcoming and were always around to ask questions if needs be. Would definitely stay again - location is perfect.

Can’t wait to return
We upgraded from a camping pod to one of the hobbit holes. FANTASTIC is the only word I can use to describe The Quiet Site. It is the first time I’ve been on such a trip , but the staff were friendly, helpful and the site itself was just great. Amazing views, lots to do around the area. I cannot wait to return

Great place to stay
A Christmas gift that turned out to be a great break at The Quiet Site in the Lake District. A really nice site where the owners have taken great care to be clean, tidy and environmentally friendly. The landscape and views make for enjoyable evenings around the barbecue and the pods are superb.

Best camp site
Absolutely fabulous. Best camp site i have stayed on. All staff so friendly and helpful. shower facility nice and warm. Bar is just so cosy and welcoming. All the facilities you could want and more. The only thing i would say is dont stay in a pod when the temperature is forecast for -10 with a 40mph wind...........

Absolutely stunning
Visited the Quiet Site, after being bought an experience voucher as a Christmas present. Visited just after the recent beast from the east hit the country, to find we had been upgraded to a hobbit hole from our original camping pod. Lovely accommodation, warm & absolutely stunning views from our seating area of the Lakes & Fells. Staff were very polite & friendly especially the young man behind the bar, who kept the log fire stocked up for us all night, creating a lovely, cosy area to relax in

Wicked Couple of Days!! Perfect Getaway!!
Fantastic time. Great staff and wicked place!! Views around the glamping site were amazing. The staff go over and above and even when we arrived late they opened the shop to get us battery’s which we needed. Going to book again to go next year as it’s a long 5 hour drive.

We have just come back from spending the weekend at the glamping pods within the Quiet Site and had a great time! Surrounded by breath taking views whilst being able to enjoy all aspects of camping without the hassle of putting up a tent!! Excellent gift for partners, family members etc! Relaxing glamping experience at the Lake District
Staff are very friendly. The bar is lovely old worldly but is quite small. Given a map of the area on arrival. We went to the waterfall which was amazing and to the lake which is opposite. Really good day out but we did drive there as would of taken a while to walk and there's a lot of walking around the waterfall. Only a ten minute drive. Good facilities on site showers and hairdryers in toilet block laundry room. Washing up rooms. Bathroom. Fridges toaster kettle microwave.

The land of treasures
The Quiet Site has everything one can possibly need to feel part of the nature yet with some home comforts. Perfect for those seeking, well peace and quiet. Located within comfortable distance to one of the local nature gems, the Aira Force waterfall (about 8 mile round trip). All the locals are so friendly, helpful and generous. The only disappointment for me (my children) was not seeing a single red squirrel.

New experience
I came here with my partner and both of us haven’t done camping a lot so it was a good compromise to go glamping. The hobbit hole was warm and cosy with plenty of room. We had to upgrade to a hobbit hole as it was originally for a pod as I’m 7 months pregnant and they were happy to do it for free. The area had lots to see and places to eat. We went in to the bar which was lovely and warm and the staff were friendly.

A Lakeland delight
THe quiet site was exactly that and our 2 night stay was not long enough to fully enjoy the glorious countryside. Not having camped out since a rock festival in 1981 we didn't know what too expect but the Pod we had booked was warm and comfortable and the facilities very good.

It’s a fantastic site. Although..
This really is a great site. The views are stunning. The staff, superb. The facilities are excellent and the local food is really great. Just beware if you book a Glamping pod through virgin experience, this isn’t what you get at the site. You get a camping pod. They are very different. The glamping pod is what we thought we were getting as this is what we choose. We asked could we change on the 2nd night but had to pay to upgrade (£85) disappointing but we had a lovely time camping anyway.
