Join the gin revolution and become a distiller for a day, with tastings and dining at Gin Jamboree.
Gin Jamboree’s Gin School is a purpose-built laboratory, complete with everything you’ll need for a day of crafting. Enjoy a delicious G&T made with a gin of your choice as the Gin Master gives you the lowdown on the past and present of England’s most notorious spirit.
You’ll learn about distillation and tips on how to create the perfect gin, before taking your place at your copper pot still to create your bespoke recipe. Relax afterward with a light meal and a chance to sample the gins produced by your peers. Your unique recipe will be recorded in the school register, and you’ll head home with a bottle of your finished creation.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Gin Jamboree Distillery & Gin School, you’ll be warmly welcomed and given tea, coffee and soft drinks as you’re introduced to your 3 hour session by your Gin Master.
After a briefing on gin styles, you’ll be let loose on the bar in search of the type of gin you’d like to produce; this’ll then be made up into a G&T for you to enjoy while you learn about the history of gin. You’ll learn about the theory of distillation and tips on constructing your own gin, before putting your newfound knowledge to the test behind your copper pot still.
Following your gin-making session, you’ll unwind over a light lunch or supper and sample the various gins produced by your fellow students. You’ll also take home a bottle of your bespoke gin.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18 (you may be asked to display ID)
- Book a taxi, get a lift but do not plan to drive for several hours after attending the Gin School
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The experience is available on Friday evenings or Saturday daytime. Exclusions will apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 3 hours for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
