One Night Break with Dinner for Two at The Ennerdale Country House Hotel
Overview
That’s ‘Ennerdale’, with an ‘n’, so you won’t be experiencing any fictional farm-related drama on this One Night Break with Dinner for Two at the Ennerdale Country House Hotel.
The Ennerdale Country House Hotel is a Grade II listed building, filled with antique furniture and character with five acres of landscaped gardens and Italian fountains. From there you can travel around the stunning Lake District and visit some of the many attractions on the West Coast of England, including the pretty seaside town of St. Bees and the end/start of the Coast to Coast Walk.
You'll receive £25 each towards your dinner which will be served in the Ennerdale’s Fountain Room Restaurant, which overlooks the hotel gardens, and in the morning you’ll both have a full English breakfast to ready you for your journey home – take the scenic route and add even more stunning views to your quaint hotel break.

A brief but enjoyable stay
Our room was lovely , overlooking the beautiful gardens. The evening meal was delicious served by an excellent waitress with a great sense of humour and an excellent rapport with all her customers. Breakfast was very good. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Fabulous stay
Can't thank the staff enough for making our stay at The Ennerdale, a truly memorable experience. The room was spacious and spotless with Jacuzzi bath and four poster bed. The food was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. We will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely stay at Ennerdale
The room on first seeing it was lovely. When you looked closer there was a couple of things that need to be fixed the main ones being in the bathroom. There was a cracked tile on the floor and the extractor fan sounds like it’s on it’s last legs; was incredibly noisy! The walls in the room (possibly because there was a connecting door) were very thin so we could hear a lot of noise from the room next door! The staff were very nice. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast.

Great relaxing place, good room & location
Nice characteristics location with great garden and room. Room was very clean and large combined with a good hardy filling breakfast and good selection of alternative options including glutin free (which is good touch).good friendly helpful service and carter a for dog owners. Only minor thing is you may be able to hear your neighbours as we had a family staying above our room so could hear them jumping up an down but kids are kids and this was only temporary. I would definitely recommend

Nice stay .
We recently did a one night stay here . Arrived at 3pm and was given our room , it was a large room with high beamed ceilings and a 4 poster bed , the bathroom looked pretty new with a bath and separate waterfall shower . The food at Dinner and breakfast was amazing . We had a couple of drinks in the bar which weren't priced too badly . All I would say is the place could just do with a spruce up in the public areas but I would definitely stay here again .

Not what we were expecting
The staff were incredible and did try to make our stay nice and the food delicious. However,...I assumed that because it's called Ennerdale Country House Hotel, it would be near Ennerdale water and potentially in the middle of nowhere, which is what we wanted. But not what we got. It's a 20 minute drive from Ennerdale water (the far end) and is not in an idyllic location. There was a wedding on, which we were warned about a week prior to our trip. Unfortunately this kind of ruined the weekend.

Disappointed
Room good. Staff friendly Food poor. Was served wild mushroom risotto which turned out to be cultivated mushrooms on a poorly cooked risotto,' was told that this was because of failure of delivery. Wife complained that her crab and crayfish pasta dish was lukewarm and lacking in sauce and was told that the sauce was absorbed by the pasta and anyway it was meant to be seeved cold. Porridge was thin undercooked and gritty and bacon fried to a hard shoe leather consistency

One night stay at the Ennerdale Country House
Staff welcoming and friendly, room fine with pleasant outlook to gardens, breakfast good with wide choice, but experience was spoilt by a very poor evening meal, plates cold, food not cooked properly, very poor value for money!!!
