Cider Making Workshop with Lunch at The Courtney’s Orchards
Overview
Channel your creativity in style with a Cider Making Workshop with Lunch at The Courtney’s Orchards. Courtney’s Orchards make around 6,500 litres of cider and 10,000 litres of apple juice each year.
Stroll through the orchards and discover a little bit about the best apple varieties for juice and cider. Pop into the barn to learn about the history of pressing and cider making, as well as about the project’s mission to reduce food waste. Then it’s time to get hands-on picking, washing, milling and pressing apples to make some juice of your own.
As you sip mulled apple juice, you’ll learn how to take your new apple-pressing skills to the next level and how to make cider of your own at home. It’s hungry work, so luckily a delicious lunch is included.

Highly recommended
I would highly recommend this experience day. The team at Courtney's were fantastic, plenty of contact via email prior to the day and refreshments upon arrival, catering for all good allergies. Paul was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The lunch was amazing and we got to take a bottle of juice that we helped to press with us. Well worth visiting

In-depth view of cider making
I was greeted with a friendly smile and a cup of tea . It’s obvious from the start the passion and knowledge Paul Courtney and his wife have for their orchard and the apples . We walked into the orchard looking at the variety of trees and tasting the apples that make juice / cider . The history, mystery and of orchards , cider apples and cider were explained . We milled and crushed apples into tasty juice to take home . The tasting sessions of juice and later cider illustrated it’s complexity
