Nestled on the outskirts of Edinburgh, the three hour session will begin with a stroll through Seilich Meadow as you learn about botanical extracts. You’ll discover everything from floral waters and essential oils, teas and tisanes, to infused oils and glycerites.
The talented team will give a demonstration of extraction techniques, including a live essential oil distillation on a traditional copper still. You’ll also have the opportunity to get hands-on making some extracts of your own to take home. All ingredients and equipment will be supplied, just be sure to bring your creativity and willingness to learn.

What happens on the day?
On arrival, you’ll meet a member of the team before heading out for a tour. Whilst taking a stroll through Seilich Meadow, you’ll learn about a wide range of botanicals extracts. The talented team will give a demonstration of extraction techniques with a live essential oil distillation on a traditional copper still. Then, it’s time to get hands on. Under expert guidance, you’ll make some extracts of your own to take home. All ingredients and equipment will be supplied.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
