Great afternoon out.
Loved this experience. The hotel is fab and knowing you are in a former courthouse makes the experience that little bit more quirky. We had our cocktail on the roof terrace bar which given the weather made the start of the experience that little bit more special. Loved the finishing touches of some water and popcorn to enjoy the film with. All in all a great experience and one I would highly recommend.

Great Afternoon
What a fab little hotel - I want to stay next time! A cocktail upon arrival with the choice of drinking in a prison cell. Then onto their cinema for the weekend film of choice. The popcorn and water was a great touch and we had a great afternoon. A great experience I would definitely recommend x

Such fun
The film with cocktail experience was such fun. Everything was as set out with the added excitement of having a drink in an old prison cell. After the film we had our cocktails on the roof terrace. Very enjoyable.

Movie Afternoon
Given as a Christmas gift. Well designed hotel; full of character, front of house was most welcoming & informative. Intimate cinema.

Well, what a fab venue. Didn't quite know what to expect - I mean, a mini cinema in a hotel in Shoreditch - didn't make much sense. But it was great. You have to make sure you go to watch a film you wouldn't mind seeing again - or be happy to watch an oldie but goldie (we watched Legend about the Krays with Reg and Ron both played by Tom Hardy) We arrived, checked in, got access to the bar, had a couple of drinks then up to the roof terrace for cocktails after. Loved it

Cocktails and film
Cocktail and film at the Old Court House Hotel Shorditch. Arrived a few minutes early. Very nice man showed us to the roof top bar and said we would be collected 10 mins before the film started. Cocktails lovely and great view. Down side ...know one came to collect us it the other couples that were waiting. We took ourselves down stairs and found the cinema just as the film was about to start. No water or popcorn provided which was part of the package. They had run out. Not 5*experience .

Fabulous hidden cinema
Great afternoon out. The experience includes a film showing from their list in a decent sized and well appointed cinema in the hotel basement. The Courthouse is a lavish and huge hotel, so feels rather special. Staff are welcoming and have a bottle of water and box of popcorn ready for you too. Only fault was an intermittent visual issue on the screen, but we coped. Followed by your choice of yummy cocktail in the quirky hotel bar. We also added afternoon tea there too and it was delicious.

Film night at the hotel
Boutique hotel in an Edwardian court house building. The holding cells in the bar area were an interesting touch and the cocktails were enjoyable. The cinema is four floors down and the lift will not take you down from ground level unless you have a resident's cardkey to activate it. The soundtrack in the cinema was deafening so if that bothers you, as it did me, I'd recommend taking earplugs. The service in the bar and reception was friendly and attentive and couldn't be faulted

Nice idea, few things to work on!
Venue is beautiful & cinema lovely. No choice of cocktail (not everyone likes gin). Bar staff were very casual & unprofessional for a 5* hotel. We were given the impression that we had to finish our drinks before the film so we felt very rushed and not relaxed. Small packets of crisps charged at £4 each & a service charge added for handing them across the bar!!! There were no staff available at the end of the film to complete the hosting experience to direct guests to the bar, toilets or exit.

Cocktail cinema experience
Fairly mediocre experience to be honest. Nice hotel, but the description sounds a lot more impressive than the experience itself. The cinema was not that great. Our local one is much better. And the cocktail experience felt like a production line. No selection or choice.

Be organised!
there are two, similarly named venues quite some distance apart-check details carefully. our voucher said ‘cinema evening’ but the screening began at 3pm, we were asked to arrive at 2:30 which we did, but didn’t realise the e-voucher was not accepted by the venue; much faffing about later we were shown to the cocktail bar and ordered our drinks-just as everyone was being collected from the bar area and shown to the cinema, we were then told we couldn’t take our drinks with us so had to leave it

Good Venue, not well executed
Very nice venue, cocktails were good. If you want to have it before give yourself enough time before the film otherwise you'll just have to down it (or leave it). The film selections depends on what you like and there is a good choice, however the film quality wasn't the best and the sound was way to loud that it was distorting. Seating was clean and comfortable but a little small. Would recommend if its a film you really like, and they get a better film quality and turn the sound down a tad

Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch Cinema afternoon.
The hotel staff were not very organised and the process was fairly chaotic, on top of which the quality of the film was poor - sound and picture went off more than once. At one point I thought we would not get to see the end of the film as we had a wait until it started again. The hotel itself was ok and facilities comfortable. However I was surprised that such a large hotel did not have a mocktail menu on offer.

Disappointing
Badly organised from arrival. One of my friends was told upon arrival that he would have to wait until after the film for a drink as they were too busy to make one for him. The film was then of a very poor quality with intermittent cuts throughout the film where we couldn’t see anything.

A disappointing experience
I arrived to the hotel and enquired about the film ahead of it starting. I was directed to two different desks and then told to wait outside reception. No member of staff collected us for the film, so we complained at the desk, only to find out the film had started 20 mins previously. The staff were unpleasant, grumpy and did nothing to rectify the situation. I am extremely disappointed and I would greatly appreciate compensation.
