With this Aston Martin Thrill experience you can take your pick from a range of tracks. The number of laps and time spent in the driver’s seat differs per venue, but wherever you choose you’ll receive expert instruction, safety gear and of course, the all-important ride of your life.

What happens on the day?

On arrival at the venue you’ll check in at reception and then take part in a briefing on driving techniques and safety, ensuring that by the time you get behind the wheel you’re ready to go and put the pedal straight to the floor in your chosen vehicle.

Your chosen venue may also offer extra special models available to book for an additional fee.

Participant guidelines

Minimum age: 17 (under 18s need parental/guardian consent)
Guidelines are that you should be between 5ft and 6ft 4in with a maximum weight of 18 stone to be safe and comfortable to drive. These may vary by venue, so please check at the time of booking.
All participants must hold a full UK driving licence and present the original on the day of the experience. International licences will be accepted.
Please note: anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate
Family, friends and children are welcome to spectate. Viewing is available for spectators. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover.
Some driving operators require customers to complete an Indemnity/Damage waiver form on the day of the experience. This may state that the driver will be liable for a fixed amount of costs should they damage the vehicle whilst driving. Most of these suppliers are able to provide Indemnity/Damage Waiver at a small additional fee (usually £20-£45) payable on site. The purchase of this is optional and is in addition to the Public Liability Insurance held by all venues. The full details of any indemnity or damage waiver will be provided by the activity operator. We are unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of these products.

Please check the validity of your voucher as it is essential that you book and take your experience before the expiry date.

This experience is available on selected dates throughout the year.

Perranporth dates: 19 to 20 August 2022 only.

We recommend you book 10 to 12 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

You should allow up to 2 hours for the whole experience depending on venue and number of participants on the day.

Aston Martin Driving Experience

I had a great time and got to drive a DB9 back to back with a V8 Vantage. I’m thinking of buying an Aston and this was the best possible test drive! The venue was amazing - it was the Top Gear Test Track! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. It was a grim, rainy day, but they were really accommodating and were happy to switch packages around to suit the conditions. I can thoroughly recommend this Experience!

I’m not a petrolhead but what an experience

I’m not really into supercars as they are overpriced and sometimes overrated and not practical to own or drive each day, but if you get a chance to give one a blast round the Dunsfold track, then give it a go, you won’t be disappointed. There were a large number of people there on the day I went, so quite a bit of hanging around. The check in process went ok, so did the demo laps and the hot lap at the end which my partner also took part in. The only issue (small) was collecting photos and video

Brilliant experience!

I have waited years(but why?) to drive an Aston..a great car,wonderful drive....Five glorious laps preceded by two familiarisation laps as a passenger in a Subaru(NO comparison whatsoever!!)..but very informative and helpful. The pre-drive talk,2 lap instructor and my coach in the Aston(Geoff.i think?)..were very helpful,friendly and essential! 10/10 experience..Thank you!

Great Driving Session

Once the formalities were administered the coaching driver introduced the controls of the Vantage V8 This was my first time driving a Flappy Paddle gearbox The track was obviously a short one which was an oval with a small blips on the long straights. I had a great Drive and enjoy the experience. The tutor was very encouraging and gave concise instructions. I will be driving another Aston on a track soon.

And what a thrill, great time we all had on such a sunny and hot day. Did not have to wait long for the drive, it was a great car the power of this Aston Martin fantastic, the only thing it was over in no time at all, would of loved to have a little longer on the track to get used to it. It'll be nice to have another go sometime.

Absolutely incredible time driving a fabulous car around the track. However participants should be aware that there are numerous add ons that bump up the cost. £25 collision waver insurance. £35 usb stick with in car & view ahead video. £35 for printed picture of you in the car & a cd with various other pictures!

Few recommendations

Had a 50th birthday present from my daughter so was exited to try out the Aston. Was meant to go to castle Coomber but don’t have the car for the day. Went to Exeter airfield.directions were ok found easy enough.booking in was not complicated. Riders briefing was in a tent right next to a generator and to the back of the booking in tent so it was hard to hear the briefing. Maybe separate the tents by a few feet. Car was fun airfield was poor set up very rough track, poor cones

Drive

I've just had the Aston Martin experience and it was great from the off really well organised no messing around. I got signed in and straight into the team talk what todo and what not to. We had about five minutes wait then a quick couple of laps to get familiar with the course then another five to ten minute wait then into the driving the instructors are really good and just want you to have the best time possible so I'll definitely be booking up another session.

Good but!

The drive in the Aston Martin was everything I hoped it would be, great car, good instructor and a great experience. The general organisation on the day was poor with a lot of waiting even thougth the staff were doing there best. I was disappointed that the demo laps were carried out with three and the instructor in a car and I was cramped in the back and found it difficult to see and hear the instruction, not what I expected and let the day down.

Disorganised

Looking forward to the day. Arrived early only to be barked at that it didn’t start yet and will have to wait. Nice start. After booking in which was a shambles (blamed on a paperwork issue). Drivers briefing was more of a last ditched sales pitch. Was then told to book in with one of the coordinators to arrange the drive. Only one lady with a clipboard who was trying her utmost to knit fog. Waited for nearly 1 hour and eventually got to drive the car. Instructor was a great bloke.

Drove my dream car

The experience of driving the car was amazing and the car was perfect, however I was very disappointed that the in car filming did not work and they didn’t seem bothered about it. Just told me I’d get it refunded with no apology. I really wanted the experience filmed! Also there was no opportunity of getting a photo with the car, it seemed rushed. They should stand back and note that this is a dream for most people and they are sharing this dream with them.

Aston Martin Thrill Day

My husband purchased the above treat for my Birthday as I love Aston Martins. The "Day" is far from a day, more minutes. It felt like a conveyer belt waiting for your turn. The car inside looked like it had better days, which spoilt the experience. The track was "busy" with other people having their experience. I would not recommend. I think I'll just have a test drive with Aston Martin to enjoy the luxury of the car and the experience.

It was raining, after some time they did put a cover up. I was taken out round some bollards, which I thought was leading out to a track ,only to find that was not the case. The first time round the course I took it steady thinking it was giving me time to get used to the car before going onto a track. This was not the case. I went round the bollards for a second time and finished. As this was a present from my son, for my 70th , I was rather disappointed as it wasn't what I expected

Not great

The whole experience was about how much money they could extract from you in as little time as possible. I drove Aston Martin DB11 - fantastic car - but 4 laps later (additional 2 laps I had to pay for) I felt short changed as the experience is over in a few minutes. If you choose to take this experience, do not pay for extra cover as you very very unlikely to damage the car, and ensure you print your car park pass, as I was charged £10 for a piece of paper to display on my windscreen. Rip off!

Major disappointment

What a rip off. Having bought the experience had to pay extra for insurance, a lap around the track before the actual drive and u could also buy photographs or a video recording of the drive. Total cost of which is the same as the experience itself. Booked a slot which was an hour late. The car looked about 5-10 years old and was real dirty. Huge huge disappointment..
