Set around a 16th Century Hall, guests will have exclusive access to the beautiful formal gardens at Wollerton Old Hall. Enjoy a tour from Chris Beardshaw as he explains the theatre and narrative of the gardens.
You’ll be served a delicious two-course lunch in the tea rooms featuring a Q&A from Chris, relaying stories about his career. This will be an enthralling event for all gardening enthusiasts.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Wollerton Old Hall at 10.30, you’ll be warmly greeted with tea, coffee and biscuits.
Enjoying exclusive access to the gardens, Chris Beardshaw will take you on a tour beginning at 11.00 around the estate, explaining the theatre and narrative of the gardens. At 12.45, you’ll return to the tea rooms ready for a two-course lunch, followed by an entertaining Q&A with Chris at 14.00.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18
- The garden is mostly flat and accessible by wheelchair. The few steps, and slopes in the Croft and Rill mean a few areas will be inaccessible. Some areas of the garden are a little narrow and so care must be taken when manoeuvring through it in mobility vehicles
- There is a visitor wheelchair which can be pre-booked in advance by calling the garden office (subject to availability)
- There is limited disabled parking available on the front lawn underneath the beech and cedar trees. We ask that you give us a courtesy call if you intend on parking closer to the entrance. Please display your blue badge if you have one
- There is a disabled toilet located in the plant sales area and a ramp into the tearoom

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
