Incorporating dishes from all parts of India, the menu boasts the likes of Masala Squid Keema, Cumin Vermicelli, Tandoori Hot, Smoked Haddock, Stuffed Aubergine, Pear Chutney and Dark Chocolate Ganache, Avocado Malai. Three courses of Indian dishes are yours to enjoy, blending traditional and modern and making for a filling meal that can’t be beaten.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Benares in Mayfair you’ll be greeted by a member of staff before being shown up to the first floor to take your seats in the warm and tranquil dining room.
You’ll be given your set menus to make your choices from and served your tasty welcome cocktails, and the waiting staff will be happy to recommend any choices to you if you’re unsure of what to have.

Availability
This experience is available from Monday to Saturday from 12.00 to 14.30 and 17.30 to 18.30 January to November. Date restrictions will include special occasion dates and bank holidays (e.g. Valentines and Christmas)
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability
Please allow 2 hours for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Nice setting, food great!
On arrival we were greeted then led upstairs to the restaurant. We were seated in the main restaurant and the servers were all very polite and knowledgeable. My friend has a gluten intolerence (I did advise them on booking) and they were fantastic in letting her know what she could have and suggesting gluten free alternatives. The food was very different to your "usual Indian" but was amazing, not too spicy, well presented, flavoursome and plenty of it. Would highly reccomend and hope to return.

Super treat
Food was amazing , well presented, tasty and good size portions. It was a treat as part of my Son’s 18th celebrations and he loved it ! Only blip was another party’s child watching a show on a mobile on repeat without headphones which i could hear from across the room. Not good but tried to ignore as my Son didn’t want anything said.

Truly great luncheon
My wife and I were gifted a Virgin experience voucher from one of our children for Christmas. Organising our lunch was easy and seamless and we enjoyed a great day out in a fab restaurant with fantastic food.

Great experience
Had lunch for a family of four at Benares. We got delayed due to some earlier appointment elsewhere running late. Staff at Benares were very helpful and accommodating. In the end, we were over one hour late. Very courteous and attentive staff. Food was excellent. Worth the money.

Great food and service!
Really enjoyed our meal at Benares. The set menu was a little limited (according to one picky vegetarian!) but nothing was too much trouble and we got a substitution with no problem. Delicious food well presented, and we never felt rushed. We now have another great restaurant to visit!

Lovely restaurant
This restaurant is absolutely lovely, really attentive waiters who made the experience as great as it was. The food was also amazing, you can tell it’s a michelin Star restaurant. Would highly recommend. The only gripe would be with virgin experience days as when my sister booked it she researched it to make sure it was possible to go on the weekend. So when it came to booking it the terms and conditions had changed meaning we could only go during the week so we had to take a day off.

Just perfect
We have just returned from a truly delicious three course lunch and were delighted with the food and the service. We were greeted with an array of poppadoms and chutneys (oh my word the gooseberry chutney). Starters of guinea fowl tikka and semolina crusted prawn. Both exceptional. We both had the chicken supreme main and it was utterly delicious, with a deep and beautiful cashew and caramelised onion sauce. Great accompaniments. Delicious brulee dessert. Loved it!

A Super 60th Birthday Treat
I booked a champagne cocktail lunch for 2 as a 60th birthday surprise treat for my husband. I managed to book a 1pm slot for us both for the Friday before his birthday. The whole experience - from ordering the gift with Virgin, through to booking the lunch with the restaurant was faultless and we both had a wonderful lunch experience at Benares. The staff were discretely attentive and the atmosphere and food were exquisite, making our lunch an absolute delight.

Amazing
Received this experience as a present. My husband and I had an amazing time. We were greeted by very friendly staff who were attentive and polite. There is a lot of variety on the set menu to choose from. Be daring and order something different which we do and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is very classy. The food, from the champagne cocktail, starters, main and dessert to masala chai did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this experience

This was a birthday present and was a perfect gift. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and the staff through the whole experience were extremely helpful. The food was delicious and we could not find fault with any of it. The atmosphere at Benares is really good and you are made to feel important. We will definitely go again and would happily recommend this to anyone.

A great lunch
Benares is a lovely restaurant, very elegant decor & a relaxing ambience. The food was delicious & we will certainly go back. We exchanged the original Virgin Experience Day as the Davy's Wine Tasting was limited to only one location, in Greenwich which was not at all convenient. We were very happy with the alternative.

Truly excellent
This was my 7th time at the wonderful restaurant. First time with a prebooked voucher. The service, food, atmosphere and ambience was top class from beginning to end. This is one of the those places that you think is once in while, but once you been once you just want to go again and again. We had the 3 course set lunch menu and some nibbles. All dishes were Michelin star. Will looking for the next good voucher deal to go again!!!!
