Theatre Lovers' choice with Afternoon Tea
When I tried to book this experience 2 of the afternoon tea venues could not be found on the Encore computer so chose Ambassador Number 12 which provided an excellent afternoon tea. On to the Apollo Theatre Victoria for the evening performance of Wicked which my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. I would add that Rosalyn at Encore was extremely helpful and as bewildered as I when the restaurants listed on the gift voucher could not be found when booking this experience.

Great play and goodish afternoon tea.
Our afternoon tea in the Carnaby Brasserie was good but the Brasserie room itself was very basic with no luxury frills like most hotels offer. We walked to the theatre, Gielgud Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue which was 15 mins away and took our seats which were 3 rows back from the stage. Fantastic view and when the actors entered the stage via steps next to feet and sat on the edge of the stage we loved it. The Curious Incident of the Dog, a great play.

long time to get through on phone.
Long time in waiting queue phoned early morning before 9. Still waited 20 minutes for operator. Staff very helpful when through. Spent best part of 45 minutes booking up. Hence only three star rating Looking forward to experience but phone answering needs improvement

Virgin experience
The extended choice for theatre, I only had five choices, chose Beautiful as others did not appeal, but the show was excellent . Afternoon tea was ok good service, nice choice of sandwiches, but the hotel needs to employ a decent pastry chef the scones or were they biscuits! Very disappointing. The cakes were dry and tasteless but the champagne was a nice touch. I have read similar reports about the afternoon tea at The Carnaby so perhaps you need to look into this.
