“Solid experience; well worth the money”
Good points: - Knowledgable session leader - Good equipment resources - Made genuinely tasty food - Learned many new things! (techniques, tools, recipes) Bad points: - Had the impression that each pair at the session would have their own ingredients and follow along. Instead, only 1 'dish' was made per recipe, with each pair helping at different stages to make that. Ergo, less hands-on time than led to believe. - Resulting from the above, we didn't eat as much of the food as we hoped
“A fun experience but terrible value for money!”
The class size of 16 was too large, we were each assigned a role to cook the dishes as a group which felt impersonal and we didn't experience each step of the process. Only one from each pair was able to roll the sushi which was disappointing as we were both excited for this. The sushi was pooled and distributed so I ended up with pieces that had wasabi in (which I can't stand) rather than the roll we had done ourselves! A good experience for a birthday but I wouldn't pay 100£ for it again!
