Experience all the charms of traditional afternoon tea with a Japanese twist at the spectacular Issho, Leeds. Complete with free-flowing Prosecco, Issho’s newly-launched afternoon tea is made for whiling away a heady hour or two.
Drink deeply and soak up the stunning décor, beautiful bar and spectacular views from the rooftop terrace. The richness of Japanese culture meeting the charm of Britain isn’t just evident in the setting. Issho’s esteemed executive chef, Shane Zhao, and her talented team pair the two cultures, revitalising one of Britain’s greatest traditions with exquisite Japanese flavours and eye-catching dishes.
Issho’s afternoon tea boasts sweet and savoury delights alike. Delicately sliced sea bass and braised lamb shoulder pancakes are followed by treats such as yuzu meringue kisses and caramel purin. There’s plenty of choice to tantalise your taste buds with, accompanied by a selection of both traditional Japanese and English teas.

What happens on the day?
You’ll be greeted on your arrival at Issho and taken through to your pre-booked table. You’ll then be able to sip your free-flowing prosecco whilst taking in Issho’s stunning décor and surroundings. A delicious array of food will be brought to your table, with a mix of sweet and savoury delights for you to enjoy. British and Japanese teas are both available, should you wish to switch things up.

Availability
The experience is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12.00 to 14.30.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 1 hour 30 minutes for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Superb Relaxed Bubbly Brunch
Great way to relax and catch-up with friend/family in pleasant decorated surroundings. Three varied selections including maki, nigiri, tataki, gyoza, sandwiches, green tea cheesecake, raspberry tart and a delicious caramel purin (similar to creme brulee). We got through two bottles of bubbly too!

Perfect day for a birthday celebration!
I booked this experience for my friend’s 50th birthday and we had an absolutely amazing afternoon! The food was spectacular, the free flowing Prosecco was delicious and the staff were absolutely wonderful. I really can’t wait to book another Japanese Inspired afternoon tea, thank you for making our day so special.

A fabulous way to spend an afternoon

Afternoon Tea.
The service at Issho was second to none. When they say free flowing prosecco they mean it! Food was amazing and we had a very enjoyable afternoon and stayed on for more drinks. Great present.

Excellent food
Highly recommend for an unusual afternoon tea. The food was fabulous and the prosecco plentiful. Only downside is afternoon tea is served in the bar area which can be quite busy/noisy but otherwise a fabulous few hours were had.

Thoroughly enjoyable
Delicious flavours. Thought the steam basket that the food was presented on was unstable. Every time we took food off it the basket tower fell about. We felt that we could have been wearing the food. Only a slight glitch but feels appropriate to mention

Fabulous Experience
This was a birthday present and what a lovely time we had! Ambience, food and plentiful prosecco! Couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely go back to Issho to explore their main menu.

An experience that I would do again!
Fabulous experience. Never tried sushi or anything Japanese, but loved it. The free flowing Prosecco was exactly as it says, your glass is never empty!

Dissatisfied
The seating area which was reserved for us had filthy, massive stains on the upholstery so I asked to be moved which was granted. The food was poor, just not enough, even for one person and definitely not worth £80 for afternoon tea. We had prosecco which we had to ask to be refilled initially and then the staff came regularly. Definitely ripped off and paying for the decor! Disappointed as we were looking forward to the experience for a while.
