About this experience
Put your patience and agility to the test as you seek out the fish off the Bristol Channel. Board the fishing boat, capable of 30 knots; which means you’ll have less time travelling and more time to fish. The Bristol Channel has a superb reputation for its fast flowing waters and variety of different fish. Depending on the season you may have the chance to catch bass, ray and cod.
Pick up the tips and tricks on offer from the expert skipper, on hand to answer any questions you may have. Enjoy tea and coffee throughout your experience but don’t forget your packed lunch. Tuna sandwiches anyone? You’ll be emailed photographs but if you want a more life like souvenir why not take your fish home?

What happens on the day?
On arrival at the marina in the morning, you will be greeted by your skipper and will be taken aboard your fishing boat to receive a full safety briefing, before departing the marina. As you head out into the Bristol Channel the skipper will select a good spot and drop anchor so you and your fellow anglers can start fishing.
You will be issued with a rod, reel and bait for the day and will be given a demonstration on how to bait up and cast, so don’t worry if you have had no prior fishing experience as you will be given help and advice throughout the day. You will spend around six hours fishing - plenty of time to pick up tricks and tips from the expert skipper. Not only will you be emailed any photos of your day but you can even take your catch home.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 14 or 16 depending on experience provider - please check when booking (under 18s must be accompanied by a full paying adult)
- If you suffer from sea sickness then please ensure you bring the necessary medication
- Spectators are not permitted without a valid voucher
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location
Availability
The experience runs on selected dates throughout the year. Please contact the supplier at the time of booking for updated availability.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 8 hours for the whole experience, the actual time spent participating is approximately 6 hours.
The arrival time will be confirmed by the supplier at the time of booking, however please note that arrival will be early morning. We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

“Couldn’t recommend highly enough! ”
What a great evening! Our host was warm, welcoming, and super knowledgable. She takes us through the theory and how to care for terrariums, then demonstrated by making one from scratch before letting us all have a go on our own. Three plants, soil, decoration, bowl, Prosecco, and the chance to meet interesting new people.
“Wow what fun”
I was not sure what to expect from this but it was really fun, nice group of people we had a laugh and took home our finished terrarium which everyone loves. Great demonstration and help whilst put it together and tips on keep the plants alive. Would recommend for all ages and I am now grey haried, but really enjoyed it.
