If you’re an aviation history buff, this Battle of Britain Fighter Mission is for you.
Kick things off with a mission briefing as you plan the route with your flight instructor and learn the various controls as you will fly most of the time. Along the way, you'll discover what it would be like to be bounced by enemy fighters, before your instructor simulates a dog fight demonstrating basic fighter manoeuvres.
During the mission, you’ll fly for a spectacular 60 minutes over some of the most critical and famous fighter bases of the Battle of Britain. A truly exciting flight involving a demonstration of dogfighting by the instructor and a history lesson, all rolled into one!

What happens on the day?
On arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed ready for your exhilarating adventure to begin. The day will commence with a 20-minute mission briefing including planning the route with the pilot and the course you’ll fly. Your instructor will brief you on the flight as you’ll fly most of the mission. During the 60 minute flight, discover what it would be like to be bounced by enemy fighters and then your instructor will demonstrate evasive fighter maneovures. Following the mission, you’ll have a 10 minute post-flight debrief and your pilot’s log will be annotated.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 16
- Maximum height: 6ft 5in
- Maximum weight: 18 stone
- The ability to climb into the aircraft unaided is essential
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
This experience can be booked seven days a week throughout the year, however usually at weekends. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow up to 1 hour and 30 minutes for the full experience.
Please note that the airfield you fly from cannot be selected and it will vary depending on the date chosen.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
