60 Minute Battle of Britain Simulator Experience
About this experience
Bring a friend and get ready to take the controls of two of the most iconic fighter planes in history, the Supermarine Spitfire and the Messerschmitt BF109K, and head to the skies for an incredible 60 minute dual combat experience.
The session will begin with a quick briefing as the two of you are given a full introduction to the flight controls and various other systems within the full-size fully enclosed cockpits. You’ll each take off from separate airfields as your instructor guides you towards each other. Who will rule the skies?
Both built using original components to the same scale as the real aircraft coupled with the 300 degree wraparound visual screen (or VR headset) ensures you both feel completely immersed in all the action. At the end of the 60 minute experience, you’ll both receive a certificate to commemorate your experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival to the centre, the two of you will be warmly welcomed by the team and signed in ready for your experience. Your 60 minute session will begin with a briefing, before you are led to the Supermarine Spitfire and Messerschmidt. Master the flight controls as you battle it out in a dual combat experience.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 8 (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult)
- Minimum height: 4ft 8in (participants may struggle to see out of the window below this height)
- Access to the simulator requires some physical dexterity, the cockpit is real size and a bit of a squeeze. You should be able to lift both legs at least 1 to 2 feet off the floor without assistance
- Wheel chair access is restricted
- This experience is not suitable for anyone with photo sensitive epilepsy
- When turning up for your experience please inform the instructor if you suffer from motion sickness. During the session the simulator can be stopped at any time
- Participants are welcome to bring guests with them to wait in the reception area. Those in the reception area will not be able to see the experience.

Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please book and use your experience before the date shown.
The experience runs seven days a week throughout the year. Excluded dates may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow up to 1 hour and 30 minutes for the full experience, you will spend 60 minutes aboard the flight simulator.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
